Weird and Ninja’s Pre-Disneymoon [Completed!]

I am sooooo late with commenting on this, but great update!! TT ALWAYS destroys my hair! It's inevitable!
That's funny with the girls and the bunny ears, but I can definitely see that it would make some people mad. If I was actually planning on buying the picture, I probably would have been annoyed!

They're in the last "room" of the ride. They're cheezy, but in that awesome cheezy way that makes them the best-ever  You definately have to go back. I'm sure Rachel will have to drag you

Um...it's the nap caused by extreme boredom on the ride that I don't like :rotfl: I want to like TT, but it's so boring to me - even the fast part, and I just don't know why :confused3 (hece why my DH calls me weird)

Haha, she'll probably have to drag me away from taking pictures all the time! She actually had to leave me because I wanted that shot of Mexico and it took a while for the exposure. I had to press the shutter, wait, and keep an eye on her to make sure she didn't run away. Thankfully, she didn't

:lmao: That's probably the greatest excuse I've heard for not liking a ride. I guess since it was my first trip back in a long time, none of the rides were boring to me. I did have a minor (read: MAJOR) annoyance on one ride, but I won't slip up and spoil anything so I'll let Rae take care of that!

I'm caught up! I've been super busy lately, then one of our close family friends died so I've been to tired to check anything. Glad to see the updates, (they've kept me distracted) and I'm heading over to your PTR to read the updates :)

Oh no, I'm so sorry you missed Ridley Pearson! I remember how disappointed I was when I found out that Jim Shore is going to be at WDW three weeks before my trip, so I can't imagine how upsetting it must be to miss someone by just two days! :sad1:

However, riding TT can always make a cruddy situation so much better! I freaked out when I saw that picture you took of the Mickey koosh ball, because it made me instantly flash back to my childhood. I used to have that EXACT same koosh ball when I was kid! I had completely forgotten about it until I saw that picture, but when I did it was a flood of memories!

My photos of the Gran Fiesta Tour never come out either. it's a difficult ride to photograph.

Eww I've seen people (tourists) walk barefoot in NYC and I'm like :scared1: Lol!

Aww they make Marie hands now?! those are so cute!

Maybe if we were sent through by ourselves, I would've used flash on a few pics! But of course, even though there was no one on line, they had to put us on the boat with another group. Haha, why don't you spread it out?!

EWWW, I don't understand walking barefoot ANYWHERE. I do After Care at school on Friday, and the kids like taking off their shoes to run around and play in the gym. When they ask to go to the bathroom, I tell them they should put on their shoes, but they don't like to and don't care to! Yuck!

:lmao: I don't know what I'm going to do once you guys aren't in Epcot anymore. I'm not sure I can handle it :lmao:

I love the Mexico pavilion. But I can't get good pictures of it. I always try to get my favorite part - the fiber-optic fireworks - but always fail.

Bummer to miss the signing by just 2 days. That totally sucks!

DH was reading over my shoulder, and he was like "I knew I liked Rachel, you're so weird that you don't like TT" :rotfl:

Haha, well, I just realized that I still have Spaceship Earth to write about, so we're not ENTIRELY done with Epcot!

I remember the fireworks! Haha, silly Weird. I pointed it out to him. This was before we saw any actual fireworks, so I was really exciting about it.

Haha, I like that your DH and I agree on just how AWESOME TT is!!!

Really? We're getting ready to leave Epcot, but I've gotten comfortable here, there's no reason to leave....... I honestly can't believe we are still on your first park day! I love all the detail you put into your report though, totally makes me feel like I'm touring right along with you :thumbsup2

The TT video with your hair all over the place was hilarious!

I have to move along if I'm going again in February! Haha, I guess this is why I haven't been hit with any Disney depression (even before the next trip was planned). Haha, I make these TRs last FOREVER. I enjoy putting in the details because it's a fun record even for me to have!

I didn't know if I should just accept the fact that I wouldn't be able to control my hair and just let it go. Haha, it seemed to work better. I would've been frustrated if I tried!

YES, I think it wasn't THAT funny because they could have ruined the picture when it was the only time all 4 of us were able to ride together since we had FP. We weren't going to buy it anyway, but I see how "dangerous" that could be. If we were, I might've told the guy there that they ruined our picture and if we could go again.

I'm caught up! I've been super busy lately, then one of our close family friends died so I've been to tired to check anything. Glad to see the updates, (they've kept me distracted) and I'm heading over to your PTR to read the updates :)

Awww, I'm sorry to hear about your close family friend. Disney can be such an escape sometimes, but then it can be another thing on our list of things to do. Glad you're back though!

Oh no, I'm so sorry you missed Ridley Pearson! I remember how disappointed I was when I found out that Jim Shore is going to be at WDW three weeks before my trip, so I can't imagine how upsetting it must be to miss someone by just two days! :sad1:

I really should have looked it up and planned it better! I mean, I had a feeling he was going to be there for signings. I can't believe I just didn't check!

I remember actually not liking the Koosh balls that had the characters in it! Haha, I just wanted a "pure" one!

Monday, April 5: Saying Farewell to Epcot!

As we continued to make our way out of the park, I knew that we had one more stop. That was Spaceship Earth! We always do that as the last ride since it helps us deal with the fact that in just a few minutes later, we're actually back in the parking lot. Plus, the lines are never bad then!

IMG_2079.jpg

I was excited for Weird to see the screens because it's such a technological thingie. I already knew that I wanted him to answer all the questions at the end of the ride to determine our future.

IMG_2080.jpg

I pointed out a few of the Hidden Mickeys or secrets that I knew about the ride. And then I also moved a little closer to Weird because as much as I love this ride (and I reference it when teaching too!), I think the animatronics are a little creepy. We're pretty close to them when we go from scene to scene, don't you think? I mean, what happens if they broke free Kingdom Keepers-style? Yes, I do think about KK a lot ...

As I said before, Weird answered all of the questions. I told him about it before, and he saw the video of the future that was done for my mom and me years ago. That's why we had such great smiling faces when the picture was being taken! Here's the video I took of our future. We did actually get the video emailed to us, but I don't know if it can be uploaded to Photobucket. Plus, I'm too lazy, haha. My version is funny anyway because you hear Matt laughing in the background!

Look at our great faces! Because we took too long trying to press where we were from, we were in the middle of nowhere!

IMG_2083.jpg

Here's another one that's closer up so you can see our expressions.

IMG_2084.jpg

I got a picture of the whole globe to give you an idea of what it looks like if you didn't already know.

IMG_6759.jpg

Weird thought they brought us to New York, but they didn't! I think we ended up in Florida? It's amazing to see where everyone is from, but at the same time, I think about how accurate it really is since we had messed it up!

IMG_2087.jpg

We waited for one of the terminals to open up so that we could email the pictures to ourselves.

IMG_2089.jpg

This is the emailed version.

ourfuturepic.jpg

On the way out, I was happy to get this picture! I know it's not the sharpest, but it's the least blurry one out of all the ones I got!

IMG_6762.jpg

This was one of Weird's least blurry ones.

IMG_2095.jpg

After the ride, we were ready to get on it again! Mom and I LOVE going on it twice because I think that we miss things each time. We get to really look and listen and just enjoy! However, my dad was not having it. He was concerned about leaving because we still needed to go to the supermarket to get groceries because it was closed the day before due to Easter. We still couldn't leave though because thankfully, we remembered that we had to get Weird's free Visa picture!

We went to the camera/picture location (forgot what it's called, and my fingers are much too cold to look it up because all I want to do is type this and get under my covers!). While we were waiting on the line, I snapped some blurry merchandise photos.

IMG_6764.jpg

IMG_6765.jpg

Weird took one too, but he zoomed in on this one!

IMG_2097.jpg

The line took a bit longer because people were taking their time deciding on pictures. There was one CM who was very cheerful and talking happily to the customers. There was another CM who seemed very grouchy and not very accomodating (and that family was dealing with a naughty child and a somewhat crying baby). Weird and I were hoping to get a nice CM because I was going to ask if we could have them print out another picture for us instead of the ones with my brother in it. I have read that sometimes they let you do that if there are no good pictures with the characters.

Of course, who do we get? The mean CM! Haha, but I was super nice to her and very polite, and she seemed to soften! I greeted her, and I just asked in a calm, non-threatening voice! And I made sure that my tone was giving off the "This would really help us out, but I ultimately know that YOU are in control" vibe. I explained to her that the photographers thought that my brother was our son, and I guess because it was the photographers fault and not ours, it wasn't that big of a request because it worked! We looked at the other photos we had taken throughout the day, and we settled on one with the two of us with the Epcot ball in the background. She zoomed in to cut people out of it so it'd be just us. We also added the "Where Dreams Come True" icon thing, I think. It printed out (all the while I was freaking out that my dad was getting angrier because the line took so long), and we were like, 80% happy with it. Haha, we were happy that it was a better location and just the two of us, but not entirely happy because it was actually pretty grainy because zoomed in like that. I'm surprised their computers don't have a "Hey, printing it this close will ruin the image quality" thing to it. I mean, they have that when I upload photos to the Costco website!

Anyway, we walked back to the car and piled in to head to Target! It was one of the bigger ones that also sold food. When we got in the car though, I opened my bag and realized we forgot about the glo bracelets! Of course, they had cracked in my bag so they were already glowing! Let's enjoy it while we can!

IMG_6767.jpg

Monday, April 5: Fun in Target

The Super Target was right across from our condo, so that meant we were almost home. Don't you love this pic Weird got? Doesn't it look like I'm running and trying to catch up to my family as they're leaving me behind?

IMG_2100.jpg

Weird REALLY had to go to the bathroom, so he went and that meant I got to keep his camera! So I took some pictures with it. Look at that misplaced and lonely pepper trying to fit in with the celery!

IMG_2101.jpg

I also got a great pic of Matt yawning because he's opening his mouth really wide but it was off to the side! However, I'd have to block his face anyway if I posted it. I was also rather amused by the signs all over the store. The people in them looked so happy!

IMG_2105.jpg

And just to continue with the shoe/pants pictures, I purposely took this one.

IMG_2106.jpg

Soon I saw a cute guy walking my way!

IMG_2108.jpg

I think my guy could've posed for this picture. I think it's kinda like, "BAM, keBABS!"

IMG_2109.jpg

As my family walked around trying to figure out what to buy for dinner, I was just dragging along. It was only my dad and Weird that needed dinner since the 3 of us had Olive Garden leftovers to finish. I decided to take pics of weird things. Like this! Stuffed tenderloin or something.

IMG_2111.jpg

My mom was looking at the pot roast stuff, but they decided not to get it.

IMG_2112.jpg

I want to try some corn dog nuggets from Casey's Corner!

IMG_2113.jpg

And here's a funny brand name: Peas of Mind!

IMG_2114.jpg

Oh, and let's no forget this other smiling dude with lasagna.

IMG_2115.jpg

I tried to be creative while taking a picture of the cheese section because cheese is awesome.

IMG_2116.jpg

They must love cereal.

IMG_2117.jpg

Look at this sad bear blanket thing that some kid must have left in the store!

IMG_2118.jpg

And look at my super cute boyfriend! Hehe, well, still only my boyfriend at that point.

IMG_2119.jpg

And our cart that wasn't really filled with anything.

IMG_2120.jpg

Just because I was picture happy, it didn't mean I was in a good mood though. I was just TIRED. Haha, Weird had my camera and took this of me!

IMG_6768.jpg

And this one as I searched for things to photograph.

IMG_6769.jpg

Finally we paid for whatever we got and headed back to our timeshare. We unloaded the groceries, and Weird taught me how to do the bag "knot" thing. I was so excited when I finally got it on my own, and I still do that to our bags at home! Victory!

IMG_6770.jpg

The final picture to close our first day at a park is this one:

MVI_1493.jpg

Yeah, I don't really know why it's at the end of both Weird's album and my album! Haha, I think it's hilarious! I also think it's a great picture for that guy because it shows what seems like genuine interest in those drummin' janitors! Haha, good night all! We are finally DONE with the first day at the parks!!!

Woo, you made it to the end of day 1! LOL. Can't wait until you get to our DIS meet. ;) Though I think that's still a couple days away!

I like that big globe thingy at the exit of Spaceship Earth. We've done the refurbished version twice and I just noticed it the last time we rode (I think last summer maybe). I think it's kind of cool they show (or atleast attempt to) where everyone is from.

Whoo hoo, finished a day! Love that you guys had a blast on SE-- I could seriously ride it all day! Also, the hair movement in the picture outside of Target is amazing lol!

yay you finished Day 1! I enjoy riding SE because there are usually no lines when we ride and it's so relaxing. It's definitely more fun now that they have hands-on video screens incorporated into each vehicle.

Haha I liked your Target pics. I wish there was one in NYC (I don't count the one in Harlem lol). I went to one in Fort Lauderdale and loved it! It was so nice and clean and empty.

Isn't it amazing?! It's only October ... haha, and the end of it at that! I'm guessing that the Tuesday recap won't take as long because it's DTD day, and I only have 55 pictures, mainly merchandise. Of course, Weird has a lot more ...

Yeah, I don't think I would have noticed it had we not been with Weird. His being with us just made me look for everything I'd normally pass by with my dad wanting to move on or leave!

Haha, I showed Weird the pic again (he took it, of course) after I read your comment. We remembered that I actually WAS trying to catch up to my family! Haha, they're leaving me behind; that's why I have issues! Just kidding!

I wish I could take my students on that ride so that they'd learn that things could actually be interesting! Knowing some of them though, they'd choose another language at the beginning and not listen to the narration!

Yeah, we used to always have to go NJ to get to Target! Now there's one closer to where I am, so at least I have access to it! My most recent purchase (which was really in the summer) was like, 10 dry erase boards from the $1 section! Love them! I have 5 of them stuck to my classroom wall for scheduling.

Tuesday, April 6: I'm an "All-American" Kind of Girl

After a long day at Epcot (hehe, or a long few months based on how long it took for me to get through it all on this trip report), we were exhausted! We build in rest days between each park, which is why Magic Your Way tickets would never work for us. We can't go every day! I mean, look at DBF/DFi from the night before!

IMG_6771.jpg

So tired, so sad. Haha, it looks like he's drinking something alcoholic, but he's really just having cranberry juice.

IMG_6772.jpg

I forgot what we had for breakfast. We might have had potato pancakes. That took up a lot of time to make and eat. After that, my parents went to the Owners' Update, which is basically the timeshares way of trying to get more money from you. Haha. My parents did learn a bit because they switched a few things, but we never buy more because they're not even sure they want to keep the timeshare (I want them to, of course, so that eventually Weird and I can pay for part of it and have it be our vacation spot!). I think the 3 of us (Weird, Matt, and I) just lounged around until they got back. Then we knew we were headed towards Downtown Disney!

On the way there, Weird was prepared with his camera to get a lovely shot of the creepy mermaid. If I didn't have a job and the only place I could get one was in this store, I'd still be unemployed.

IMG_2139.jpg

I was thrilled to see the Purple Locker van! I didn't even know what it was when my family asked me to explain my fascination with it. I looked it up when I got home, haha. I just know that I used to see the banner ad all the time when I was on DIS! I just felt it was another connection to DIS. I wonder if people at our timeshare use it.

IMG_6774.jpg

Weird was happily snapping away as we continued driving. We saw the top of the Swan hotel.

IMG_2141.jpg

Finally understand more of the Disney bus system and what Magical Express is, we were excited to see this bus! I wonder if people were being taken to their resort or to the airport.

IMG_2143.jpg

The DVC sign was fun to see! It's so cute! I wish that Weird and I had the money to some day invest in the "best kept Disney secret"! Although realistically, we do very much love my family's timeshare!

IMG_2146.jpg

Here you can see the Cirque du Soleil building, Disney Quest, and the balloon! The cutest thing was that recently, I sent pics of something to Weird where the balloon was grounded. He said that he didn't know that it came down! I said, "Then how would people get up there?" He didn't know that it was actually something you could ride! Hehe, I love my fiance who's still somewhat of a Disney newbie.

IMG_2149.jpg

Weird took a THOUSAND pics of the balloon. Here's one with the West Side entrance. Every time we pass this section, my parents and I comment on how we used to not know the layout of DTD, so we'd drive into this parking lot. This time, mom and I kept telling my dad to continue driving even though he thought we had to turn left already.

IMG_2155.jpg

Look, more Disney buses! Okay, you're all probably not that fascinated with it, but we really were!

IMG_2156.jpg

We finally reached our destination and found a spot. Weird quickly snapped these photos as we walked in. I have no clue what this is supposed to be ...

IMG_2160.jpg

I do, however, know that this is the spitting Stitch. We weren't interested though because we had one thing on our minds.

IMG_2163.jpg

(continued from previous post)

Order here? Yes please! Please note that the next few Earl of Sandwich photos taken on line are all taken by me. I took Weird's camera and decided to see what shots I could get. Of course, since this was the first time I did it, I didn't know that I had to hold it in place a little longer to get the crisp shots.

IMG_2164.jpg

If I didn't know what sandwiches they had here, I'd be really overwhelmed with trying to narrow down my choices. Haha, that's how my mom feels when we come here. It's hard enough for her to make decisions while sitting at a restaurant. Trying to choose her lunch while on a line that keeps moving can be difficult!

IMG_2165.jpg

The case of desserts. It was an attempt at being fancy.

IMG_2166.jpg

Look at those people hard at work at putting together sammies that make people happy!

IMG_2167.jpg

Next time we go, I'll be paying more attention to the desserts. I read and saw on someone's TR that they have a chocolate and peanut butter dessert that Weird and I really want to try!

IMG_2168.jpg

I did like this picture that I took although I think it could be clearer. I just like how it feels like there are TONS of desserts surrounding you!

IMG_2169.jpg

Then I got excited and tried doing something fancy with the drinks, but um, that didn't happen. Look, Earl has water.

IMG_2170.jpg

They have blurry water as well! You get your pick.

IMG_2171.jpg

I'm curious to know how rice krispies treats taste in WDW because I've always preferred my mom's since they're not as sweet.

IMG_2172.jpg

Blurry brownies are another dessert choice. I think it's cute to have it in the little plastic cup. Perfect to have a snack on the go!

IMG_2173.jpg

I think this picture would have been good if I focused on the girl at the register. I just didn't want to seem like a creeper. I did also want to show the tea display.

IMG_2174.jpg

Lots of people working behind the counters means that it doesn't take that long for your yummy sammie to be done! Look at the stickers they have!

IMG_2175.jpg

The line wasn't that long, so it didn't feel as rushed. Did they always have the line divider things set up? I feel like it wasn't always there, but I may just not have noticed.

IMG_2176.jpg

Here's Weird with the pager.

IMG_2177.jpg

And an interior shot of the restaurant. I absolutely love the feel of this library-esque restaurant. Ooo, I wonder if the 6 of us could sit at that big table in February if it's available!

IMG_2178.jpg

We got our food and sat down at one of the round booths. The one thing I don't like about booths are the fact that they can get dirty underneath. Yes, I know regular tables can get dirty underneath as well. But booths require a lot of scootching in, and that means more chances of stepping on whatever's down there. I do like this picture though because my mom (the crocs on the right) looks extra tiny because her feet aren't on the floor!

IMG_2179.jpg

(continued from previous post)

I was excited to try the tomato soup!

IMG_2180.jpg

The last time we were there, my mom and I split the corn chowder. I didn't know if the tomato soup would be good (afraid it might be too tart), but then I came back and read that people loved it! Ahhh, for 2 years, I was itching to try it because I LOVE tomato soup!

IMG_2182.jpg

The other soup at the table was the broccoli cheddar. My mom's not that big of a fan of tomato soup so that's why she chose that one.

IMG_2183-1.jpg

I love that the soup prices are not expensive at ALL at Earl. I want to say it's only $1.99 per bowl, is that right? I think that's inexpensive because at home, we're surrounded by places like Panera and Soup Man, and those things can be $5-6 per bowl! Of course, it's really good soup, but still ... it's soup! These soups were very good, by the way. I think I would've liked the tomato soup to be hotter though. I was kind of surprised it wasn't piping hot. Hopefully, we'll have some really hot soup in February!

Weird and I were very excited to dig into this spread!

IMG_2187.jpg

What sandwiches did we order?

IMG_2191.jpg

I had the YUMMY All-American! I just love the combination of turkey, cheese, buttermilk ranch, and cranberry sauce! I'm not even that big of a fan of cranberry sauce, but it just mixes so well all together.

IMG_2193.jpg

Preparing for that first bite! I know I don't look excited, but trust me, I really was!

IMG_2195.jpg

This is really NOT an attractive photo of me. But ahhh, the memories of that first bite makes me long to be there right now!

IMG_2197.jpg

I was really excited for Weird to try his. He got the Full Montagu. Huh, now that I think about it, how did I try my sandwich first? Haha, shouldn't he have tried it since it was his first experience with Earl?

IMG_2201-1.jpg

Look at that face! He looks happy!

IMG_2203.jpg

A blurry innards shot. Obviously you can tell the camera was back in my hands, haha.

IMG_2204.jpg

DELICIOUS.

IMG_2209.jpg

I know half-eaten food is not really appetizing to look at, but since it's MY half-eaten food, I'm still craving!

IMG_2210.jpg

I didn't know Weird took so many of that sandwich getting closer and closer to my mouth!

IMG_2211.jpg

I tried getting a picture of the wall because it's so subtley decorated. Um, I kind of failed.

IMG_2213.jpg

Here's a little bit of it.

IMG_2214.jpg

More people waiting on line waiting for their happiness to be served on a tray. And there are also some wacky lights!

IMG_2215.jpg

Weird was playing with the exposure settings. Look at the ghosts!

IMG_2217.jpg

I guess ghosts like EoS too!

IMG_2218.jpg

Anyway, we finished eating and cleaned up after ourselves. This was the booth as we were leaving.

IMG_2221.jpg

I knew I wanted to head to the kitchen store next door, so we walked in that direction. I didn't know there was this little eating area on the other side! It's nice that they have this because even though there aren't any chairs, it's still a place to om nom nom your food.

IMG_2222.jpg

Okay, now that we ate our lunch, we were fully energized to do some shopping!

Ack, I keep forgetting that you still have this TR to finish up too, instead of just keeping up with your PTR. We have never tried Earl before, I think because we always end up at WPE. I think also because we never seem to be in a "sandwich" mood while we are on vacations.

Your attempts at fancy shots makes me want a new camera. Only I don't have money for that (or anything else on my wish list), but it's fun to see.

Love the "first bite" eating shots. Classic. I think I even had something similar on my FB, but with bing soo (ever tried that dessert? so good). I may have deleted that though.

I need to rearrange some ADRs I think for Feb. I forget, have you already planned all of yours?

I'm kind of scared to go try WPE only because I don't want to think, "Oh, this was good, but I really want that sandwich!" I told myself that if Weird and I were ever on DDP, we'd definitely go to WPE. Maybe my group will do a dinner there since the meals are more dinner-y. I mean, I read the description of that meatloaf, and boy, it sounds delish!

Sandwiches are my life. I don't like meat, but if you put it between two slices of bread, there's more of a chance that I'll devour it.

I'm glad that Weird has the new camera! There'd be no sense for me to get one because I like having the point and shoot that I can carry around everywhere. However, it is fun to play with! If you were to get a new camera, you'd use it for years to come to take pics of your DD. However, that's only if you're willing to lug it around because it does get quite heavy!

Nope, I haven't tried bing soo, but I know what you're talking about!

The only ADRs that we have for February are Le Cellier and 'Ohana. For the other meals, we're saving money by cooking at the timeshare. You know, Hamburger Helper and stuff like that!

Tuesday, April 6: My Planned Souvenir

With our tummies happily filled with our Earl of Sandwich lunches, we headed to Mickey's Pantry. There was one thing on my mind that I just KNEW I had to have - the Mickey egg/pancake rings! I saw them online on the Disney website, but after looking at them for so long, they weren't there anymore! Ahhh, I knew that the next time I went to DTD, I would HAVE to check the kitchen store for those rings.

I was excited to just look around at all the merchandise even though I was on a mission.

These salt and pepper shakers were cute, but neither Weird nor I use salt and pepper. I did see recently that they have Mickey salt and pepper mills (I LOVE freshly cracked pepper). That is something I might get this upcoming trip since I got a $100 engagement gift from one of my Disney-loving students! I told her and her mom that Weird and I would spend it at a place like Mickey's Pantry so that we'd be able to think of them whenever we used it!

Weird took a picture of these mugs, but I didn't see them until later in the week. Love them! We both already have maybe 2 pairs of "matching" (As in same design or something) mugs though. The latest mug that I bought at the Disney Store can't even be used right now because I have a ton at home as it is, and my mom told me to stop buying them! Haha, that's why I just have it still in the bag to be used when Weird and I have our own place!

I was getting a little frantic and worried that my egg rings could not be found. I think Weird finally spotted these beauties!

IMG_2226.jpg

I was THRILLED!!! These babies are MINE! I ended up buying 2 of them because it'd be difficult to just have only one pancake made on a pan at a time.

IMG_2227.jpg

Remember my goal of getting pictures of Mickey dressed up in different outfits? Well, here's Chef Mickey!

IMG_2229.jpg

He was trying to entice me to buy more kitchenware. "Oh, Mickey. Maybe when I actually have my own kitchen!"

IMG_2230.jpg

What do hugs n' kisses smell like?

IMG_2232.jpg

How much fun would it be to entertain with these goodies? Okay, who am I kidding. I don't care about entertaining really. Haha, it'd be fun to just have 2 of everything so that Weird and I could have our fun dinners Disney-style!

IMG_2234.jpg

I can see us enjoying water in these!

IMG_2237.jpg

We really are that simple, haha. Water in fancy glassware? Yes, that's how we roll.

IMG_2238.jpg

These popcorn buckets looked really fun! I like the look of classic, vintage-y things. We just don't have a need for popcorn buckets because Weird doesn't really care for popcorn! I grew up having an occasional popcorn snack with my mom. I even remember my younger days when my parents used the old popcorn machine. They'd fill it with kernals and then it would slowly and then more quickly fill up with popped popcorn and spill out of the spout!

IMG_2240.jpg

Now if I see these buckets again, I'm going to think of Sarah because she got them this past year! Haha, I THINK I'm remembering that correctly ...

IMG_2242.jpg

After scouring the rest of the store, I also picked out a red Mickey face maker thing. Yes, you all know I'm great with the official names. Basically, you press it into bread and then toast it to get Mickey's face in your toast! It was only $2-3, so I figured it'd be a "fun" way to have toast especially when sick. I went to the register and smiled at the cast member. I saw on her tag that she was from New York, so I said something about how we're also from New York! We were very happy, and I was thinking about how I wanted to talk to more CMs this trip. She was very friendly, and we started talking about the egg/pancake rings. I told her how much I wanted them, and she said that they are constantly in need of restocking because they sell out so quickly. So glad I got them! And so glad I had a nice CM interaction! I think CMs are just easier to interact with than characters, haha.

Anyway, we were done with our purchase and read to leave and explore new stores! Don't you love these bright colors in the display window?

IMG_2245.jpg

Thank you, Mickey's Pantry! You provided a lot of fun for me! I can't wait to return to buy more things for our future kitchen in our teeny-tiny apartment!

IMG_2243.jpg

Oh, and do you want to know a funny thing before I end this update? I've had the rings for almost 7 months, and I still have not used them ...

hahaha, yes, you are right, we are the ones that got those popcorn buckets!!! Well, technically my dad got them. I was even going to say, before I read your comment, HEY, those are the buckets we got! Good memory. ;)

Mmmm, yummy, I love Earl of Sandwich. Sandwiches are kind of my life too. :rolleyes1

Oh, I love Mickey's Pantry. I think if there were more of those stores around near me, my whole kitchen (once we ever renovate it) would be full of cute mickey stuff. Such a cute store!

I totally forgot that you won't be on the DDP. I think that's how we have been able to try so many different Disney restaurants. Otherwise it gets pricey! Ohana with a big group of friends will be awesome for dinner. Lot's of family style eating to go around!

Those rings are so cute!! I can't believe you haven't used them yet! I keep bugging DBF that we need a new hand mixer (we somehow lost one of the beaters) and he keeps saying the minute we buy one is the minute I'll stop wanting to make homemade frosting;) Have you used your toast press?
