weight restrictions on segway tour

This reminds me of the episode of the Andy Griffith show where Barney had to get re-certified as a law enforcement officer, but he couldn't eat enough to reach the weight mininum. He wore a 5 lb chain around his neck to pass the test.

Honestly, can a 2% deviation from the minimum weight make an appreciable difference in the way the thing operates? It operates fine from 250 all the way to 100, but if you drop down another 2 lbs the design fails?

I know rules are rules, but about it working for someone lighter, my 75 pound 11 year old did a Segway "experience" in Baltimore at the Science Ctr and was more than capable of manuevering it. Go for it!

I kind of doubt they will even ask. If they do, just say "45 kilograms". :teeth:

We have this booked in October. They didn't mention height, but I'm only 4'11" and I'm wondering if I'll be too short to reach the handles???

Order the kitchen sink at Beaches and Cream and don't leave until she has finished all of it. That will help! :thumbsup2

You will be alright as the entire bars can move up and down.

We've perused the online want ads too, hoping to see a deal we can't refuse. Haven't seen anything though......I guess if I had one I wouldn't sell it either. LOL

I don't believe they're being sold on Amazon anymore. They seem to be available strictly at brick and mortar storefronts, if you can even find them there.

We have a few places here that sell them from other people and rentals .
I was checking e-bay tonight and some of them are getting tempting. But for $5000 I will just get another Motorcycle that DW doesn't want me to have again. :moped:
