This reminds me of the episode of the Andy Griffith show where Barney had to get re-certified as a law enforcement officer, but he couldn't eat enough to reach the weight mininum. He wore a 5 lb chain around his neck to pass the test.
Honestly, can a 2% deviation from the minimum weight make an appreciable difference in the way the thing operates? It operates fine from 250 all the way to 100, but if you drop down another 2 lbs the design fails?
