Weight and clothing size?

Are you doing points or the core foods program?

What are you doing to exercise?

If I could get below 150 I would feel so much better than I do now!

Dawn

I am doing points, like I said, just daily points, no flex or activity. I am running 2 miles 4x week and do a 3 mile run 1x week. I did my 3 miler this morning, it has been a while since I have done one, but it felt good. I really just want to see anything in the 150's before my trip, but a solid 150 would be awesome.

That's so funny how people who are similar in height/weight can wear entirely different sizes. I'm 5'3" and around 135 (am trying to get down to around 120) and am in a size 8. I carry all my weight in my butt and thighs though, so I suspect that if I were more proportional I'd be a smaller size. Gotta love being pear shaped.

I'm 5'3, 150 lbs & size 8. I want to be 120 - 130lbs, size 4 - 6.

I am about like MagicalMom above....

5'2" and at 138 I am just (barely) in my 6s...at 140-145 or so I am a size 8. My goal is 120-125 and that will be a size 4.

212 and a size 14 tells me that you are VERY muscular.

OK sizing is wierd!

I'm 5'2" - I joined WW 2.5 years ago when I had to buy my first double-digit size pants (at 142 lbs.). I've always been small, didn't break 100 lbs. until after I got married, so size 10 really freaked me out.

BUT - there is no way I'd get into 6 pants at 135-140, or 8's at 150. I just get into 6's at about 125. I'm 120 now and 6 is good (in most clothing lines), some 4's. Every extra ounce I have is in my "2 kids 2 c-sections mom gut." When I am where I want to be (110-115) I'm a pretty stable size 4 - a few 2's in vanity-sized lines.

That is weird. What are your measurements? I'm 39 - 29 - 36. I've had a couple of c-sections too. I can squeeze into a size 6, but they will muffin top me. I think I carry a large portion of my weight in the "girls", probably a good 10 lbs there. :rotfl:
edited to add: I alsdo have no rear end it ya know what I mean. It's flat as a board back there.

As I said, I'm 5'2" also. My measurements at this time are 36-26-35, which is a pretty solid size 4, depending on brand, in pants. In tops, I find that there is usually enough style ease that I will fit a smaller size than my measurements might suggest. In general at this point, size 6 I can pull off without unzipping, particularly if low cut. On the other hand, I have not had any pregnancies, just some left over flab that I'm still trying to lose around my waist.

I know sizing has changed drastically over the years. When I was in HS, I weighed about 95lbs, measured 32-22-34 or so, and wore size 5. Size 3 was too tight on top, and I had muscular legs. But, I had to do the safety pin thing at the waist for my pants to fit well. I remember one particular pair of pants that I had to pin a good four inches to wear comfortably my senior year of HS. I used to be more pear shaped, and I think my fat distribution has shifted due to hormonal shifts with age.

I am 5'4", 152 lbs. and go back and forth between an 8 and 10. My mom is the same height, weighs 165, and wears a size 14.

I weighed in at 163 this morning and am hovering between a 12 and 14. My height is 5'5". Some people would go ahead and get back into the 12 but I hate my clothes to look too tight. So I am saving the 12 for when I lose another 5 lbs. My goal weight is 135-137.

Sizes have changed so much in the past 5 years or so. Just to make a point to myself, I took a pair of size 10 jeans from Old Navy that I bought 7 years ago to the store. What was a size 10 now is like a sized as a 6 or 8.

I'm 5'6", 185 lbs, and size 14-16. I am in size medium scrubs for work now, but had gained about 5 pounds before the holidays and they got snug, so I'm glad I threw out the larges and had nowhere to go but down in weight again.

I am still in the bmi obese category, but definitely do not feel it. I'm overweight, and am working on losing another 20 pounds, and hope that will get me to a size 12, and I'd be thrilled with that. At my thinnest, I wore a size 10, and was very thin for me, probably in the 150 range.

It is amazing how everyone's bodies are different. I am a nurse and see many people daily and need to ask them their weights, and many times they will be 10-20 pounds less than me, but I think they look much heavier than I do, and others will be more muscular and weigh more than they look.

I think clothing sizes have changed over the years. When I got married in 1982, I weighed 125 pounds at 5'7" and wore a size 10. When I lost weight and weighed 155-160 a few years ago - I was a size 10, again. I know my measurements were smaller when I was 26 years old than when I wore the "same size" 20+ years later.

We could have shared clothes in HS - same height, weight and measurements!

currently 34-28-34...and most of that 34 is gut, not hips :( 6 pants fit me fine at my current 120.

Oh and I'm really a freak - 5'2" and my legs are too long for petite pants!

This thread is so interesting! I started WW at 189 and wore a 14/16 about a year ago. I am down to about 140 and I wear a 6 or an 8! I never would have believed it before, but I actually have narrow hips and sometimes the 8's literally hang off me! I have to wear a belt. It is such a strange concept, tucking in shirts and wearing a belt after spending my whole adult life up to age 45 wearing big tops pulled down over my pants. Good luck and congrats to everyone who is winning the losing game!!!:cool1: :goodvibes

LOL....I find the more expensive the clothing the smaller the size. :wizard:

I am 5'8 and weigh 175 I wear a size 14 and an xl shirt.2 yrs ago I lost 30 pds and was a size 10-unfortunately I have put it all back on so now I am trying to lose it again:sad2:

During my entire adult live, I would gain and lose about 20-30lbs. However, in the late 90's, I went to 210lbs.....thru quitting smoking and having a baby.

I dietted and exercised down to 120lbs....I became a fitness instructor, so staying 120lbs was pretty easy.

In 2004 I started teaching more yoga and art classes and less fitness classes and noticed the weight coming back on.

When my dad got sick and eventually died, I gained over 100lbs during that time.

By 2005 I was 232lbs! [at least that]. I'm back dieting and exercising....but not 14 step classes a week! Now I'm doing "the right" thing and I'm losing weight!

I'm 194lbs now and will go to about 130-140lbs. S

I'm 191.5 pounds, and I wear a size 16. I think, (going by my high school weight,) once I get down to 170 I should be able to fit into a size 12 again. One can only hope.
