Weigh different at different times?

I am not talking about 9 am verses 4 pm. I weight myself just about every day first thing in the morning, naked, after going to the bathroom. From one day to the next you would think it would be pretty consistent, but it is not by a long haul.
For example yesterday I got up at 8 am and weighed myself and I was down 4.2 for the week. This morning I got up at 4 am and weighed myself and I was only down 2 lbs. I was right in my calories yesterday (and all week for that matter) and I walked 5 miles yesterday, so i really think ti was the time I weighed myself that made the difference.

This is not the first time I have noticed this either. A few weeks ago, I got up at 4 am, weighed myself, decided to be lazy and bail on pilates class and went back to bed. When I got up the second time I was almost over a pound less than just two hours before!

I never noticed it from the actual hour standpoint. But my day to day is amazingly different. It would be so frustrating for me to do a weekly weigh in when I was at WW cuz I would be down the day before and up the morning of the meeting. But yet my DD6 likes to weigh herself after I do sometimes in the morning. And her weight stays exactly the same for weeks and weeks. So strange. No water difference, doesn't matter if she' eaten breakfast or whatever.

I might have to try the different hour thing see how it works out for me.

1st... I have to say, I have never weighed myself that often. Daily- now way! I can tell how I feel, how my pants or jammies fit, I dont rely on a scale. I think it is dangerous to weigh yourslef the way you do. Anything done not in moderation, is not good right.

Anyhow, I know when I go from no excercise, to say walking or working out- the body has to maintain water, to allow the muscles to be flexible and work... so I am sure that fluid retention is playing a part in it.

I would stick to weighing yourself once a week at the same time. You are driving yourself nuts doing it multi times a day.
