Does anyone have an opinion about either? When we went in Oct 05, we used wegoshop and had a very good experience but I think there is a new francishe owner now. We really liked that they gave us the choice of where to shop, so we chose Superwalmart to save some money. For a few more dollars they also stopped at a liquor store too so we could mix up some cocktails in our room.
We are going again May 4-10 and want to cook several meals since we are DVC members and will have a kitchen. TIA for any opinions.

We used gardengrocer and are using them again in Jan. I liked that I could order it all online, I knew what the bill was going to be, and they will buy liquor as well. I found their prices to be similar to what I spend around here. You have to write it in during the comments section.

We used Wegoshop last week and found them very accomodating. They will also stop at other stores for you. Gardengrocer was booked up on the day I wanted delivery anyway, but now I'll always go with wegoshop.

we used Gardengrocer in Oct and we were very pleased with their service. :thumbsup2 We'll be using them again in May!

We have been pleased with both service. We used Wegoshop in Nov and Garden grocer in May. Garden Grocer will take credit cards ahead of time and deliver to bell service. You can arrange a paid out through the hotel when you check in for Wegoshop, so they can delivery to bell service.

The new owner of WegoShop is very nice and helpful. Called our cell and our room to let us know when the delivery was made and what the total charge was.

I have never used this type of a service before-I think it would be a good idea for our trip this month.

How does it work?
Can I place my order now to be delivered on 12/22? I'm reading that Garden Grocer takes credit cards ahead of time-that seems a bit easier.

We arrive late that night (like 11pm) to WL...do they deliver during business hours? Will WL hold it for me and then I can get it when we check in? What if there are items that need to be refridgerated-will the resort be able to refridgerate them until we get to our room?

Thanks!

We used WeGoShop in September and were very pleased. They accomodated our late arrival and the service was great! We are trying Garden Grocer this time b/c I wanted the order left with bell services and so far their service seems great too!

We only used GG but we were very happy with their service and will use them again on our next trip :sunny:

We used wegoshop in Dec. 05 and Marg Peck was the contact. She was great. We have Marg all set for next week as well. We thought her service was great. :wizard:

With both companies you can order ahead for a future delivery on their websites. Yes the credit card option does make it nice, but with WegoShop you can have it charged to your room, if you authorize a "paid out" when you check in.

Basicly you preorder food, water, etc to be delivered for your WDW visit. In some cases you can arrange a time for it to be delivered to your room by the company or have them drop with the bell service that will store cold items cold. They will deliver to your room at your request.

If you want to have the items when you arrive, then probably best to go with gardengrocer because they use credit card and can just drop with the bell service (who will refridge the items that need to be cold). Since Wegoshop uses "paid out" you have to check in first to authorize this service (from what I understand) to deliver to the bell service. If you want Wegoshop to deliver driectly to your room and you pay them cash or check, then you can talk to them about the perferred time.

We will be going in January. I have just call both places to see who is able to deliver. Does Wegoshop, just shop at one store or do they get thing in bulk like water, soda etc. I guess we will use who ever calls me back first. When do you usually know your total bill for Wegoshop.

We used Garden Grocer back in Sept and were really pleased with them. I was able to order what we wanted ahead of time and have it paid for before we checked in. I was also able to something in the comment section about delivering to the bell services if we were not there. Our groceries were in our room when we got back from breakfast that morning. Nothing was perishable. It was nice to have what we wanted in our room when we got back. And they also left a voice mail to let me know that it was delivered, to who, and where it was going to be. I will definately use them again.

Don't forget that there's also another option, Gooding's (www.goodings.com), a local supermarket that also delivers. They deliver to Bell Services, so you don't have to be present for the delivery -- you don't even need to schedule it! They take payment by credit card in a couple days in advance, but your account isn't actually charged until the day of delivery. I used them in May of 2005 and just a few weeks ago, and I was totally satisfied.

We shopped at Gooding's this past weekend and were shocked at the prices  We ordered through garden grocer and We Go Shop and did not pay prices that high. In fact the baby food I ordered through GG cost HALF of the Gooding's price. Another example was the bottled water I saw "on sale" which was 3.99 for an 8 pack when I paid 7.99 for a 32 pack case (smaller bottles though).

Thanks for the info...I placed an order with Garden Grocer for my upcoming trip.
