One of my new years plans is to spend less time/money at the grocery store. I wanted to share a website I found...
http://www.howdoesshedoit.com
It's free! I spent about an hour last evening exploring, and planned out a week of menus. You can make your own categories such as lunch, dinner, breakfast,favorites,etc...and once you put a recipe in each day of the week, you can print out an organized shopping list. Bonus, you can remove items you already have at home.
I am bound to expand my picky child's food horizons and this site has some great menus. It even has a gluten free category which is helpful as my inlaws are.
I will try to check back in at the end of the week to let you all know if I managed to avoid the grocery store.

Thanks for the tip I try to make Bi-weekly menus but always forget something on my shopping list. It wouldnt be a big deal except our closest grocery store is 30 minutes away and definately the more expensive one. The one we like to shop at is 50 minutes away.

I thought I was about the only one that lived that far from the store! Menu planning is a must for me. I also find having a well stocked pantry is crucial because we live so far from the store. I hate going all the way to the store and forgetting something! Maybe a service like this will help me not to forget things as frequently. I'm going to go explore it a little and see if it helps me out.

Thanks for sharing the site! I was sitting here trying to make a weekly menu and shopping list to try to help start saving a little $. We live about 45 minutes from grocery store so try not to go very often.
