weekend of feb 3 or 11?

we will be going in Feb of this year. Any suggestions on which week would be less crowded?

The weekend of the 11th is a 4 day weekend for Vegas schools , but I am not sure how big a difference on crowds that will be.

I think the 3rd is your best bet. I know a lot of schools have a 4 day weekend that following weekend, including my son.

Yep, I am in Vegas along with Jemilah and we have Thursday and Friday the
8th and 9th off of school. We will be there, but we are leaving Sat. am so we'll miss the weekend crowds.

Miscampbells - Is you four day weekend up there Thursday & Friday like us or is it Friday & Monday? Just curious so I can prepare myself for Thrusday crowds possibly! Thanks

Good ! We never go on weekends , but I want to finally see fantasmic , and with both boys having had been seriously ill , they have missed alot of school, so our choices are limited. The hotels are not too booked up yet, maybe a good sign!

Staff development days..........seem's silly to me we get about 4 or 5 a year, but I will take any time off we can get!

Yes, I will take any days off we can get that don't revolve around a holiday!! I do not do DL near holidays so these two days are perfect.

That sucks that schools will be out the weekend of the 11th. I just planned a last minute trip today for that weekend, I was hoping it wouldn't be to crowded being the middle of February.

just booked feb 9-12 for 139 a night at DLH! We are going with others, so this was the best time.

Jemilah - that's true, I was just about to say what a great price that is. BUt are you getting as worried as me that quite a few people on here were already going that weekend? I am taking some semi-newbies to which I promised it wouldn't be very busy!!!! EEK!

Although to them, it will probably still seem empty considering their only ever trip was on Closed to Capacity Veteran's Day!

Now just hoping for great weather~

I am a bit worried about weather too, but always scared of crowds! I have not been on a weekend since I was a teenager and hop I am not miserable. My boys have only been while school was in , but they said they don"t care about lines , they are just happy to be going! We are going to sneak them out at 1:30 from school , I learned from the school nurse that after 1pm it counts as a full day at school , so we can get there by dinner time. Let's hope the crowds stay down!

I think we are more likely to have to deal with weather than crowds....Im going either the 9th or the 10th of Feb to see fantasmic before they shut it down for those 4 months *sniff* so I dont care about crowds...Im not going to worry about getting on tons of rides because I just went at the end of Nov for a week and will go back in May again for a few days but I have to get a good seat for Fantasmic if nothing else...oh and a corn dog hahaha

jemilah - Did you see the $139 AP rates for our weekend at DLH? If you are paying more than that, call and cancel and make a ressie!!!

Don't forget about Super bowl sunday on the 4th. The parks will be much more crowded then people realize. Just a reminder for people going that weekend.
