I'm heading over for my first trip to Orlando in 9 weeks (yay!) and am trying to plan a little bit. I'm staying for 2 weeks, flying out on a Saturday. What do people usually do at weekends? I'd like to get in all the major parks, esp the 4 at Disney and the 2 at Universal, then trips to Sea World and Busch Gardens. If there's then any time I'll check out the water parks and maybe kennedy space centre.

Which of these are ok to visit on a Saturday/Sunday? Are there any that HAVE to be visited midweek to avoid the big crowds?

Thanks a lot folks, and yes I know I have a lot planned but it's likely I won't be going back for 5+ years so there's a lot to get done!

If I remember rightly the guidebooks say Epcot and Animal Kingdom are the best parks to go to at the weekend.

Firstly hello!

Animal Kingdom is good at the weekend and water parks are always the busiest.

Kennedy Space Cetnre - not our family favourite but if this is a once in a lifetime trip then I'd visit to say - "I've been there and saw a rocket!" :lmao:

The best advice I can give is ask everyone on here lots of questions, we love answering and asking them and buy your self a copy of "Brits guide to Walt Disney World and Orlando" it details which days are best for which parks crowds wise and has loads of information.

Happy Planning :thumbsup2

We never usually go to the parks at the weekends. We usually shop and take it easy on Saturday, while on Sunday we go to a church and spend most of the day in and by the pool. Gives us a nice recharge for the next week to come.

But our holidays are usually well planned, usually 18 nights or so. Arrive on Monday, time difference gets us up early for the parks for the first few days, settle down at the weekends and start again the following Monday...

Generally speaking ALL the parks are often busier at weekends.

I know statistics may show that certain parks are quieter than others and this is true but normally expect attendances to be higher.

Magic Kingdom plus the Water Parks , personally I would avoid.

If you have plenty of time to visit all the parks then I would advise rest/shopping type days at weekends. We often have a trip to the beach to get away from Orlando for the day.

Thanks for the replies so far. I'll be there for 10 full weekdays, which will be enough to do the 8 main parks with a couple of days for some water parks. Maybe get to kennedy at the weekend and have a rest/shopping day aswell?

It's that first Sunday that's gonna be the toughie, the first day in Orlando will be difficult to spend shopping!

Normally AK is the recommended park for Sundays - if you are awake early (as many from the UK are) go for when it opens and you should be able to see quite a lot.
