Weekend Grind 11/10-11/11

Quiet here. All we have is Ryan's first birthday party at 2:00 tomorrow. Hoping to get my Wall Art swap done this morning and a quick run over to the grocery store for dairy products. Out of milk and half and half again!

Cassey wanna come do my house next. I feel like it just did this and it needs to be done again! course 3 dogs and 3 men and I shouldn't be surprised.

My quiet weekend hasn't started off so quiet. Tom got up and went hunting well the boys didn't go so that left the dogs all in a dither and so I gave up and got up! I've now managed to kick both boys out and got 2 of the 3 dogs to quiet down.

I'm spending the weekend working on pulling pics for the crop next weekend. My CM rep does a crop for cancer every year on the 2nd weekend of deer hunting. 6pm on fri til 5pm on sunday. $40 including meals, if you bring a dish she takes money off and that's out of her pocket not the % she donates. She has 2 cancer centers 1 of which is Dana Farber in MA, the other is Norris Cotton @ our local hospital. So I'd better get busy or I'll never finish.

Lisa have fun shopping. Wish we had an IKEA! It's a great cause. Last year I only made 1/2 of the time avail as we had family in town. This year I've got mom going on sat. while I love spending time scrapping with her it's like you all taking your daughters. Hopefully she's learning to preplan, it sounds like she is. I'm using as a test for the scrap in April with Jen.

Back to the pics I need to go. got side tracked and started sorting really old (pre digital) pics that still need to be scrapped. I've decided that I should never have been allowed a digital camera! Film kept the pic amounts under control! I can fit 3-4 years in a photo box. Cripes I can't get a year of digitals in one

Christy, I wish. Haha. I told dbf before I left that there would be at least 2 hours of cleaning/house stuff.

It doesn't really need 2 hours. But I do want stuff done. Mostly his stuff Haha. His side of the office is a pit, his side of our room, the bathroom. Still waiting for him to bring stuff up from the garage that goes in his closet. Things like that. I asked him to do some touch up painting, and I'm hoping to clean the carpets tonight. Cheap carpet is such a pain I swear water makes a stain.

But we will see

Ipod has been located. I gave up the search a few days ago, but it was really causing fights so I was getting deseparate to find it so I decided to search some more today. I made the girls search the van on the way to the store. It was way down between a seat and the door! Yeah!! Thank goodness : ) Kids

I wish we had an IKEA close too.

Good afternoon all!!

I slept in till about 10am today!


I got up and started moving.. right now I'm on my lunch break and then it is time to get started again...

So, I don't forget Happy Veteran's Day tomorrow... My Grandpa G was in WWII, My Pap was in WWII, and Gramps (DH's) was a WWII vet... My Pap, Grandpa G, and Gramps were all discharged out of WWII out of an Indiana base..they crossed paths before Mike and I were even thought about in their lives... who would have thought our families would cross paths and marry many moons later!! My DBrother & my cousin was a Iraq war veteran x 2 tours... Can't thank these men and women enough for their service and sacrafices they make and most especially the sacrafices their families at home make while they are serving..


Today:
load of towels
file all papers into hanging file box
divide larger meat packages up into meals
clean freezer and fridge
dishes
once over house
trip to dollar tree in next town to find tumblers (none at the store I went to yesterday)
boys to rake leaves to front for pick up this week
boys to help dad clean out gutters on our house and neighbors.. (her DH is away at training for his officer job in the military for the next 2 months)
await DD's text on how her first official campus tours went
I'm sure there is more... on my notebook list

Nan yeah for sleeping late. I did the opposite I feel asleep on the couch abt 5 yesterday and slept through till 7:30. Only got up long enough to go upstairs and take out the contacts!

well the bulk of the printed pics are found/sorted for the weekend I think before I print to many more I'm going to scrap these then fill in. I even finished sorting pre digital that haven't been scrapped. The albums and pieces parts are ready to be packed. I've also picked stamp sets to bring.

I'm going to need a drink already they all came in for lunch boys get to horse in' around and tom gets the dogs going I'm ready to scream. They've had thier 1 min warning till grounding!

Girls are cleaning up mt crapmoore in their room. (I pulled everything from where it didn't belong and put in the middle) found loads of "missing" things

DD#1 is done with bathrooms.

I need to once over the kitchen. Reorganize some things. And deal with coupons. Make lunch.

men and dogs have finally vacated the house again so peace and quiet reins!

I've emptied/reloaded and running the dishwasher right now so my house hold chore for the day is done.

Next is to figure out what other things I want to bring to the crop. trying to limit the amount since I'm coming home each night and can grab what might be missing.

I spent a couple hours going through swap stuff. Now that it's a bit more organized I HOPE I will start to use it. Then I spent more time looking through my 'scraps' to find papers I knew matched the swap sets. I am not allowed to buy another sheet of paper until I use some of what I have here. It's rather mental.

DH and Morgan went out to do some errands. I heard something about the comic book store and picking up Spider-Man at the RedBox.

Cassey, glad you're getting a bath, sounds like you need it!

Jen nice to know I have company I just bought more paper at J's last weekend my excuse it was on clearance and I had a 25% off coupon! It was the LAST thing i needed. I'm hoping to complete a ton of pages this coming weekend so that the paper get under control! 2 cropper hoppers + at least another maybe 2 full of just plain paper is a bit outragous.
