Last week, I posted my first trip report...you can check that out here
This weekend, we only managed to make it to Disney on Sunday, and we didn't get a very early start.
Those that read last weeks report know that we were kicking around the idea of going to Animal Kingdom early in the morning, but due to a late night the evening before, we decided to sleep in...and we weren't attempting to attack AK after 10am...on Easter Sunday...what do you think we are? Crazy??
The fortunate thing about living close and having annual passes is that we can go whenever, so when new attractions open, we don't have to fight for a spot in line...for example, Soarin opened in May, we didn't ride it until late December...although I don't think I can wait that long for EE.
Anyhoo, we decided to head to MGM first (it is our favorite park).
Our first stop on every trip to MGM is always Sid's Antiques and Curios....it's the store to the left when you first enter the park...
They sell all kinds of Hollywood memorabilia, autographs, clothing and props used in movies...and the magical trivia board...
This is the reason we go here first thing every morning....
There are always ten trivia questions written on a chalkboard, and if you get all ten right you get a special certificate.
The questions usually pertain to an anniversary or a birthday...like Walts b-day back in December or like yesterday Animal Kingdoms birthday....even though it is technically April 22nd. All the questions pertained to Animal Kingdom, and in my opinion the questions were pretty easy...which is why, for the first time, Brian and I got all of the questions right...
Here is the ultimate trivia master prize...
"This moment was certifiably magical!"
I was thrilled !!! This is how enamored with Disney I am, a piece of paper made me sooooo happy. I conquered the trivia monster.
Some pictures of the entrance.
and the hat...
Tigger was bouncing around making the kids happy...
We grabbed a beer at Min and Bills and wandered the park...
Once again, we were pulled in by the black hole that is Tattooine Traders...
How do you make Jabba the Hut even more discusting?
Give him Ball Firing Action through his gaping mouth...
Form your own joke, my brain hurts with the possibilities...
Some sweet muppets action...
Walking down the streets of America, ran into the power rangers...
See, this, to me, is asking for a swift kick in the....never..mind...
We came back around and got another beer from Min and Bill's (thank you Renee for remembering us every time...if I was allowed to give you a tip, I would have...)
We sat and talked, something that is so relaxing to us...yes, we drive to Orlando, go to a park, only to have a beer and sit on a bench, talking. It's fantastic...I highly recommend it...
We went under the hat to look for this years Annual Passholder pin, only to come up empty handed...
While we were by the hat, this little boy was using his force powers against everyone walking by...to the parents of this little boy, I took a picture because he was adorable...(I always feel uncomfortable taking pics of peoples kids, I don't want them to think odd of me...but he really was cute)
Also during this time, Tigger came hobbling up the stairs. Somehow, perhaps during his bouncy trouncy flouncyness, he had hurt his ankle/knee/leg. As he was being helped up the stairs and under the hat, little kids ran up to him, only to be told that he was not available at the moment...poor Tigger!
We grabbed another beer and started walking towards the front gates....sushi at Epcot was calling our names!!
Before we left the park, we stopped for some fun street performers...
This guy is so funny...and along with Frankie (who kills me) its some good times...the kids seem to adore it and we love watching...
While at MGM, we discussed the fun we will have when we bring our future children to the parks...jedi training and the looks on their faces when they see characters...I'm super excited...
Brian made the comment that we always plan for what we want to do with our kids and the plans we have for them, but we still have no plans for having the kids. But I think we are doing the smart thing by discussing our beliefs in rasing children before we have them...some people don't prepare at all...the having of the children will come when we are ready...but I do love watching kids faces at Disney!!!
