We just did our MM on Tues. the 17--and it was VERY crowded, it seemed. Everyone in the lines kept making jokes/remarks about "this morning doesn't seem too magic".... :guilty:

It honestly seemed just as crowded, if not more crowded, than all of the other time we spent there for the 4 days we were in the parks.
(Yes, I know it's only FL and TL that are open...so everyone is packed into those 2 areas...but still, it seemed like it *should* have been a little more "special" feeling than it was...)

Anyway, my thought was..."Maybe since everyone is here for their WEEK of spring break, maybe we're ALL doing our MM right away on Tues. and maybe Thurs. will be less crowded since everyone who is staying off-site would have already used up their MM on Tues."
:confused3

Just a thought....

So, my question is for anyone who has stayed ONSITE (and therefore eligible for EVERY MM)....does Thurs. seem to be less crowded than Tues? Or is there not a trend at all?

TIA!! :flower3:

I was there too this past week and the Tues. MM was really crowded. I was disappointed thinking we would do ALL of the FL rides in that hour. We never even rode matterhorn at all b/c the lines were so long (well later I read on here the lines move fast but they looked so long we just did not bother).
We did Peter Pan first and had to wait a good 5 min and I thought we would just walk on. We did Peter pan, Dumbo, Alice, Toad, Pinnochio, Snow White and that was it during the first hour then I saw the crowds come in at the rope drop for the regular crowds OMG! It was insane.
Oh well..we left Thurs so were unable to check out the MM that day unfortunately. I want to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt the same way....thought we'd breeze on to every ride in that 1st hour...UGH!! The lines were LONG!! I was not feeling too magic about our morning...lol!

Anyone else have the lucky experience of going to a MM on both a Tuesday AND a Thursday?
Which one was less crowded??

TIA! :-)

I have actually heard from others that the weekEND MM are less crowded than the weekDAY MMs. Don't ask me why... it doesn't make a bit of sense to me, but that is what I have heard. I would guess that it probably just depends on the week that you were there, and that spring break was accounting for the mass of people making it "unmagical".

We have been to MM on a Sunday and during the week and we felt that Sunday was much less crowded. My guess is that it's because the park opened so early, which made MM even earlier. I think some people can't get out of bed that early. :)

Yes, that makes sense that since weekEND MM's are so much earlier than weekDAY MM's, they would be less crowded...people do like to sleep on their vacations! LOL!

Kayla's mom--did you guys have fun!?? :-)

Yes we did have fun! Busy, but we expected that. Hope you guys had fun too! :)

We too were caught by surprise by the crowd on Tuesday's MM. We were lucky though in that we were able to accomplish Pinocchio, Alice, Teacups, and Mr. Toad by 9am. :cool1:Then we jumped on and rode the Storybook boats and Casey jr train, by then we began to see the crowds and felt the "Magic" slipping away. :scared:

What we found out over the next few days is that ALL lines are aboput 1/2 the wait after 7pm with the exception of the few major rides like Peter Pan and Indiana Jones. But everything else the longest wait we had was 30 minutes for the Submarines. :thumbsup2 We accomplished this by heading back to our room at GC when the crowd became unbearable. We would tire the kids out in the pool then get a good 2 to 3 hour nap out of them. Grab some dinner and back to the parks by 6 and rode all the rides until they literally kicked us out. :rotfl: Doing this proceedure saved what would have no doubt been our worst vacation ever. :scared1:

By the way was it me or did it seem like every single time you turned around last week there was a ride down for technical problems. :guilty: Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Winnie the Pooh, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain. It really felt like everywhere we went we were turned away for technical difficulties. This was our first trip to Disneyland, we've been to WDW more than 10 times in the last 4 years, and I'm so sorry to say there is a huge difference. We will not be rushing back to DL anytime soon.:snooty: I just didn't feel the same magic in the air and for that fact it was obvious that MOST of the cast members at DL don't feel the magic in the air either. :rolleyes1

I am wondering if all MM days will be equally crowded the week we will be there. 4/12-4/18; since DL opens at 8 all week and MM days are at 7 (ugh)
I guess the "sleep in factor" wouldn't be in effect. Bummer for me cause I like to sleep in
We are planning on the Tuesday one (to get it out of the way) I was thinking bout changing to Sat but then forgot we are upgrading to AP's and wouldn't have it as an option anymore :sad1:
