Week with memorial day?

Anyone ever been the week of Memorial Day? We are considering this for next year and I was wondering how crowded and how hard to use 11 & 7 month windows.

I was there two years ago - it did get busier over the weekend, and that was really noticable as the crowds then were still despressed post 9-11.
Depending on what and where you wanted, I doubt you'd have much problem getting a room on the 7 month window.

We booked in January for May 29-June 5 and got what we were looking for which was a studio at OKW. I don't know about the crowds but I will be posting a trip report here when we get back. From what others have said, the worst will be Memorial Weekend(our first 2 days) and then MK the following weekend. I didn't really have too much leeway for dates as I take the Dermatology system exam May 27th and have to be in San Antonio for 'summer camp' at Fort Sam Houston on June 11. At least I get two weeks before ADT unlike my AF classmates whose 'summer camp' in Alabama starts May 30 but then they have the month of July off. I'd rather be at the World when we are going though because we get to hit the Flower and Garden Fest and Star Wars Weekend and many schools(northern anyway) won't be out for the summer yet.

We go at this time every year (leaving Friday!!!!), and have never had "unbearable" crowds, except for at Magic Kingdom. There are lots of fun things going on, including the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot and Star Wars Weekends at Disney/MGM studios. The holiday weekend itself is a bit crowded, and the following weekend is a bit crowded because of Gay Days, but it's lots of fun, and we just head to Epcot or Animal Kingdom when the other parks are too crowded.

As far as booking, I book right away at the 11 month window so I can have my Boardwalk View!
