This will be our 1st January trip. What can we expect:
1. Crowd size?
2. Any Christmas decor still up?
3. Temps? Rain?

We will have our annual passes this year. Will there be much difference between this week and week of January 26th?

The week of January 5th will probably be busy because January 7-11 is the Disney World Marathon Weekend. It is the biggest runDisney event and draws a lot of competitors to Orlando and the parks. The 5th and 6th may be a low crowds but you will definitely see it pick up the night if the 6th and definitely the 7th. If you are trying to stay on property and don't already have a room you may find that several resorts are already fully booked.

Jan. is Florida's coldest month. You are better off packing some jeans and sweatshirts and even a light jacket.

We are going the same week, arriving on the 3rd, so we can do CRT before it closes for refurbishment. Does anyone know if the castle will still be lit up for the 3rd/4th?

We went this same week in 2013 and are going again this January that same week. The crowds were pretty low and we did not see any increase in crowds in the parks due to marathon. The hotel was more crowded over the marathon weekend, beginning on thursday and so were some of the restaurants but not the parks. We had short waits for almost everything. Temps can vary a lot but in 2013 it was HOT, in the 80s. In 2011 it was in the 50s one day and 70s the next.

Make sure to get your fastpasses planned in advance if you want to hit one of the most popular rides, they run out of those weeks in advance for the busiest rides.
