Week of Columbus Day at Aulani?

Any impact on crowd levels at Aulani during Columbus Day week (2nd week of October)? We're planning our honeymoon for next year and want to do a cruise (NCL's POA) followed by a week at Aulani. The cruise price is higher the week of Columbus Day, so just wondering if we'll run into the same at Aulani and/or higher crowd levels like we usually see at WDW.

On a related note, is mid-October an ideal time to visit Hawaii? We'd like to avoid high tourist seasons and high rain season if at all possible.

We were at Aulani last Oct 13-18 and crowds were definitely noticeable on the 14th (Columbus Day), but by Tue it was much less crowded. We would definitely go again that week.

As far as weather, we had one day of thunderstorms (closed the pools for a few hours) but otherwise it was perfect.
