Week of April 20th

How crowded do you think the parks will be the week of April 20th. I am from the NY area and my kids are off this week instead of Easter week. An info will be helpful. Thank you.

We are going that week too- we are from Long Island. According to Touring Plans. com, they are not predicting it to be horrendous. I hope so. We usually go in July, so we are use to crowds. At least in April, if it is crowded, it should not be hot!

We will be there at that time as well. My kids have the same week off. We we there this past April (the week after Easter) and I expected it to be really crowded, however, the crowds were very manageable. I love April. The weather is great, not to hot, not too chilly either. Sometimes you may need a sweatshirt in the morning, but it warms up to a nice temp pretty quickly. The amount of rainfall is usually small too. We had one really big downpour one day at AK, but we just put on the ponchos and kept going. It lasted about 1/2 hr and that was it for the week. This coming April should be good especially since it is so far from Easter. Crowds should be very manageable. The trick is (at any time of year) to get there at opening. You would be suprised how much you can see before the crowds start to build up. Have a good touring plan and you should be fine.
