Week Before Xmas: Itinerary

We will be at WDW the week before Xmas. We fly in the 17th (Sat) and leave the 27th. With Xmas on a Sunday, most of our touring days are before Xmas. How big a difference are the crowds Sun/Mon/Tues compared to Wed/Thurs and then Xmas day and Xmas?

Will we notice a big difference in crowd levels?

I am thinking we should try and spend more time at the MK early in the week, if things are less crowded. Does that make sense?

Is there a difference in crowd levels, say, between the MK and MGM or AK?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The closer you get to Xmas, the bigger the crowds. When my family went this past Xmas, we went to Magic Kingdom in the first couple of days. Despite the crowds, it wasn't too bad waiting in line for rides. For the popular rides, we just made use of Fastpass.
