Week before Thanksgiving?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how the week before Thanksgiving might be. Is it historically a low crowds time? We have gone the week after Thanksgiving the last two years and this past year the crowds were up quite a bit. How about the weather? Doesn't this time period also fall in the value season, too? Thanks!

I have heard that it is typically a good week. It misses Jersey week, veterans day and hits the tail end of F&W, and supersoap weekend. I can tell you better in a few months as that is the week we are going .

i was told to avoid as everyone takes advantage of a partial week of school to take vacation. Record high attendance near Thanksgiving and the weekend after.

We are going the week after to play it safe. But we have never been during ths time, just hearsay

We're going to arrive 11-18 and leave on Friday 11-26. We're going to try to get in all park visiting Friday/Sat/Sun and Monday and then hit Univ/IOA and just hit our favorites one day. This WAS NOT my choice to visit during this time. My sister's did not want to take their kinder and 1st/ 3rd graders out of school any other time. I tried to tell them...but... oh well.. I refuse to listen to them complain while we're there. I'm coming up with park touring plans for them and our family (DH.me. DS13 and DD 16) won't be touring the parks with them. EVery family is on their own except for the PS.

I am praying that the crowds will be light since it seems as if the Thanksgiving crowds have been kind of going heavy/lighter/heavy/lighter every year (from my research). Since last year seemed heavy, I am praying that this year will be light. Our only other 2 WDW trips have been in Jan (pre MLK day week) and Dec.2-9 one year. No crowds except for MVMCP in Dec 2000. I hate crowds, but we've already made plans to visit in Jan 2006 to make up for the possible crowds Nov. 2004.

We were down the week before Thanksgiving about 5 years ago. We got there the Thursday before Thanksgiving and left the Friday after. It wasn't crowded at all until Thanksgiving Day and then it was VERY crowded; we were at the Magic Kingdom.

I would go again during this time, just avoiding MK on Thanksgiving Day. The weather was perfect.
