Week before Memorial Day crowds?

Just wondering if any of you were at DLR during the week BEFORE Memorial Day this year? What were the crowds like? All signs point to it being pretty slow. Maybe the last slowish week before the summer crowds start showing up? Can anyone testify to this being true/false?

We are booked to be there next year during this week in 2008 already!

We're planning on being at Disneyland the same week and I was wondering the same thing. We have been several times during the week after Memorial Day and the crowds didn't seem too bad. So I'm hoping the week before Memorial Day will be even better.

I noticed the hours from that time last year were still pretty short. So I think it must be considerated still a bit off season. We added an extra day to get another late night for night time fireworks, etc.

I think it is a wonderful time to go. It is not very crowded and the temps are warm enough for the pool but not "summer" hot. We went for three nights over Mother's Day last year (a treat for me ) and went to some of the Food & Wine Weekend events (at DCA) and the weekend was pretty crowded at both parks. But weekends are croweded ALL THE TIME now. Weekdays were heavenly...very small crowds. The only down factor of May for me, is the best hotel deals tend to be early spring and fall and May is expensive. Have fun planning, I know your trip will be fun!
