Our trip is 6/24--7/2, we're coming home as the July 4th crowds will be coming--at least we hope.

We've got 95% of our ADRs taken care of because we doing the dining plan.

Now that I've been looking at the park hours I'm trying to come up with a loose game plan and wondered what to avoid/when. We plan on staying late at the MK on 6/25 (Sunday) to watch the second parade & then stay on for EMH night. Is that a mistake, will it be crazy crowded?

We plan on the usual avoidance of the MK on Saturdays but besides that have not worried too much, we've been there lots & will be back again in December.

Am I being too laid-back about this trip? Should I be kicking my planning into high gear? The only MUST SEE attraction is EE, which we plan on getting to early on AM EMH morning.

Hi Karen,

That week will be VERY crowded. The week leading up to July 4 is one of the busiest of the summer. You will be there over the holiday weekend so be prepared for lots of company!

We were there last year a week before the 4th. In fact we flew home on the 2nd. The crowds were not as bad as I had thought. I was expecting worse. Definately take advantage of the Fastpass. That helped us a lot especially at MK. If going to Epcot, get there early to get Fastpass for Soarin'. By the time we rode Soarin around 11:00 the fastpasses were gone for the day.

We were also lucky enough that at MGM the Star Wars Weekend was extended. It was great. Hope it gets extended for you to enjoy. Even if your not a big Star Wars buff it is still entertaining.

Have fun!!! :goodvibes

Bob P-I didn't realize it was one of the busiest just thought it would be crowded. Thanks for the heads-up!

matt&jakesmom-glad to hear that it wasn't too crazy. We like to try to sleep in usually, swim at the resort pool, then head out to the parks later and stay till closing. However, we can get up & out early to get to those FP kiosks if needed! Thanks for the tip at the SW weekend. Hopefully it will get extended as DS & DH like the movies & the Star Tours ride too! :)

I think we'll do ok since we've been a few times before (last trip was Jan 06) and we know we'll back again in Dec. DS keeps talking about EE and spending time in FW in Epcot, also spending time in AK but is not really jonesing for any particular other ride/attraction so that is good I guess. :sunny:
