Week before Easter

We decided to head down during Spring Break. We will be there
4/2-4/7. We will we be hitting mk and epcot and that's all. How crowded is it normally during the week before? My sil and niece's go with me every other year and I am afraid they will not have fun
because of the crowds.

We will make the best of it and realax the rest of the time.

We have never been in April either. We always go in February, October or May. Just went for the 1st time at Christmas. I was wondering the same thoughts . . . will it be crowded like Memorial Day weekend? like the week before Christmas (which we thought was great) - or should we be prepared for all out mobs of Mickey lovers?????

We are kind of wondering that, too. Expecting the heavy crowds, but not as bad as New Year's Eve. We will be there April 2 -10th. We will probably leave the parks and head to our resort, or go resort hopping, in the middle of the afternoon to help avoid the most crowded times.

The only thing I can help with is I know my son's high school band and choir will be there during that week. They are leaving on thursday for home. I also kow there will be other high school groups there at that time for performances. DS's group will be performing at EPCOT, so that won't be bad, crowd wise.

A castmember once told me that it is more crowded the week before Easter Sunday than the week after. You can usually tell how crowded it will be when hours are published. Starting on April 3-5, the hours become longer to handle the crowds.
We always go the week after Easter, and it is very, very crowded, but we always enjoy ourselves.

We have been going around Easter for 20 years. Yes, it will be very crowded. Next to Christmas this is the second busiest week. Yet the weather is great at this time and I love it.

we were there the week leading up to and including easter sunday in 2003....we stayed at POFQ(loved it BTW)....we were actually suprised; although it was crowded, it wasn't nearly as bad as we had thought it might be...since my dw is a school teacher, we normally do not go until the first couple of weeks in June, so maybe we are used to the crowds.....crowd levels might be relative to what you're used to on previous trips....we found with taking advantage of EMH and Fastpass' it was very manageable.....also, the weather was just perfect that time of year...not too hot or humid and no rain....

We were there the week prior to Easter '03 and it was very crowded, but we felt that Disney handled the crowds very well. We didn't wait more than 10 or 20 minutes at most for anything. We did use the fast pass system extensively. The expanded park hours were really nice. We'll be there again this year the week before Easter

We were at Disney the week before Easter '03. The crowds build each day. Early in the week it was busy but not mobbed. By Sat. afternoon (when we left to come home) it was packed.

I will say it was busier the week between Christmas and New Years in 2001. Disney was very prepared for the crowds and things moved smoothly. We were able to do everything we had wanted. By tHursday it was very important to have a ps for sit down meals. We saw many people turned away Thurs - Sat at a variety of restarurants.

We are going back again this year (it is a wonderful way to spend Spring Break).

Next year (05) will be a little sad for me (Easter is early so my DD decided she wants to go out west skiing for the first time). She and my husband are already planning the ski trip! I don't ski (only read).
