Week before Christmas

We are planning on going down to WDW the week before Christmas, any input on the size of the crowds.

Larger! they will start to pick up the weeken of the 17th and just keep building till xmas. That is why we go down before and will be leaving on the 21st this year.

We arrive on the 17th and leave on the 26th

They will be large, and increasingly so as your stay progresses. By the 23rd or so it will be packed, and the 24th-26th are three of the busiest days of the year.

We are going Dec 17-23. I was told that this was a good time to go and the crowds will start picking up around the 23rd.

After 2 days at the AKL we will also be at CSR till the 26rd

If you go the full week before christmas like 11-19 there really isn't much of a croud, at least in my experience. Last year we hardly waited more then 5-10 min. for most rides. It was great but I was told the week leading up to christmas WDW pretty much fills to capacity and parks sometimes close to the general public by mid morning to early afternoon. We had such a pleasant time last year we are going back this year for a short trip 14-19. Can't wait.

WOW that's scary....I always thought that the parks only filled up to capacity and turned people away on major holidays like the fourth of July and Christmas day.

We will have to plan our days accordingly

Like I said that is just what someone told me, don't take my word on that. I saw alot of people wrote it doesn't get real busy till the 23rd so that could be right. I didn't want to scare you. Sorry
