We are planning a trip to WDW , it will be the week before Christmas week. I would like to know how the crowds are that week? I understand that it is really crowed the week of Christmas . Also I notice that MVMCP is almost every night that week, what is a better nite to attend? Thanks any information will help.

I also am curious also. We will be there from December 11-21 and was wondering how busy it will be?:smooth: :smooth:

I'm "guessing" it will be more crowded than when X-mas is in the middle of the week. I hope I'm wrong. We like to hit attractions hard before the hoards of people show up so we can relax between the holidays. princess: princess:

I'm sorry, this is my first post, we will be there 12/10 - 12/20 I need to know how the crowds will be then

We will be there December 16-24, I want it to be deserted! However, that is a little wishful thinking on my part. I will settle for less heat!!! LOL. If anyone has experience this time of year, please share your infinite wisdom with those of us who are less fortunate.

OK, this will be our third time there in that time frame.

Crowds are manageable, especially if you are willing to get to the parks at opening. We do this and feel like we have the park to ourselves for at least an hour. We rarely wait more than 15 minutes for any ride, getting the headliners behind us first thing.

The weather is usually cool, not cold, although we've had some shivering on a few mornings. SOOOOO much better than melting in the Florida heat.

The decorations and Christmas spirit makes even crowded spots seem like one big holiday party.

We were in Mk on Christmas Day 2002, and yes, there were crowds, but we loved every minute of it. We didn't go that day to ride everything, admittedly, since we had been there for the week prior and rode and rode and rode. The parks will see a considerable building of crowds from the 23rd to Jan. 1, but before then, ENJOY!!

Very well said! We had a very similar experience. I thought the crowds were not bad at all...until Christmas eve. On Christmas Day it was very crowded. Luckily, we left the day after.

I checked some online sources as well as the Birnbaum book and the Passporter (love that book). Passporter says the value season goes to Dec 19 (Fort W.)/ Dec 20.

Birnbaum has a page of crowd patterns. Under the "least crowded" is the week after Thanksgiving through week before Christmas.

I think we'll all be fine

any time we have been there in Dec( usually about the 6-14/18) the crowds were non existent till around the 18, then they noticabley increased...the last few times we went in jan and some have said the crowds have steadly increased in early dec.i have seen some predict even larger than normal Dec attendace this year in part due to hurricane rescheduling so i am thinking of waiting till Jan but would like to know what anyone else thinks or has heard about this year in early dec. before i change everything!
