Week BEFORE Christmas?

Should I avoid Disney? I expect crowds in the 24th and 25th...but what about from the 18th on????

Crowds usually start around this time cause it's the last day of school for most and Christmas vacation begins. If you want to go in December, your best bet is between Dec 7- 18 for lower crowds...

Touringplans.com says that the parks will start to pick up on Sunday the 20th but will be modest in size the week before.........

We're going the week of Christmas and I'm starting to get scared by the crowd levels.

We stayed at the Pop Century December 14-20th 2008. It was not crowded at all and we stayed while there was free dining. The resort and the parks were not crowded at all. The weather was also great.

We are going Dec 12-18 and are expecting crowds that are average( about a 5) and then they will start to really pick up on the 19th.

Now this was in 2007 but....
we went to DW dec 18-24th 2007....it was the best trip EVER!!!
we go to magic kingdom around 1 PM on arrival day adn we completed everything we wanted to (including all 3 mountains, peter pan, etc) in 5 hours
There were virtually no crownds until the night of the 23rd and then on the 24th we went to DHS for 1/2 the day before we left and the morning wasnt too bad (i think everyone was checking in) but by the time we left the park around 1, it was getting very very crowded
