Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

TP reservation finder came through for once and I got a CRT on our party night for 6:55pm. I'm going to keep looking for a little earlier, but this could be a keeper.

My Disney Store order arrived today, but I was so busy with outdoor projects (stacking hay, mowing a few acres, etc) that I haven't opened it yet. I wish I could have that kind of self control when it comes to junk food!

Well, we've never seen the show from California Grill, and I've read many times over that it's very worth it to try at least once. So we're sticking with that.

And just like you, we are doing desserts and drinks only. We have dinner at The BOAThouse at 5:30, so we won't have room for more.

So far the majority of responses seem to agree that I would not be spoiling it by watching the fireworks from outside the park first. So I'm going to keep the CG reservation for now. I think I've decided no on the fireworks cruise, because it would likely cost more and doesn't offer adult beverages. So the only other thing tempting me is watching from the Poly or GF beach.

I've read someone comment about the vantage point of Cali grill. I think the poster mentioned they liked seeing it from higher than ground level so that is something to consider. Maybe you could see some pictures online just to check it out?

I just read over on another thread that the Saturday after Thanksgiving is a "madhouse." Worried about doing Minnie's Dine and JBJB now that night. I did the Star Wars H&V meal during SWW and that was fine, I didn't really rushed, got a picture with every character and some twice so I'm thinking that meal will be ok since SWW is a zoo as well. I'm more concerned with the crowds for JBJB. I was at Wishes for the 24 hour MK party and that was scary crowded and that's all I'm picturing now. Now wishing I had got that damn JBJB dessert party! Wondering maybe if now on 11/30 we should sneak over to DHS from Epcot to see that show, then hop to MK for Wishes and EMH. So much hopping. Guess I need to add even more alternative scenarios to my schedule.

I fee like this is the beauty of FPP. Yes the park may be crazy busy but you've got 3 rides you can count on. If you expect to only do your FP and meal it should be manageable I would think!

I fee like this is the beauty of FPP. Yes the park may be crazy busy but you've got 3 rides you can count on. If you expect to only do your FP and meal it should be manageable I would think!

I'm worried about Saturday too. But if we only do our ADR and 3 FP, well that's better than being at home! And maybe we will be lucky - everybody will go home and Sunday on will be calm and crowd less!

Oh wow, that sounds amazing! I'm hoping we can make this happen after our 'Ohana ADR on Dec 1. We'll have to see how worn out we are by then.

We're planning on seeing it on 12/1 too! No ADR but want to go check out all the holiday decor at the monorail resorts.

I got super excited to see they will offer this.. Until I realized it is $387 for a party of 3... That's more than MVMCP.

But it includes a New Orleans style buffet dinner, open bar with mixed drinks, beer and soft drinks. Plus a dessert buffet featuring villain exclusive desserts. Also private meet and greets with the villains and a dance party.

I'm not espousing the idea that one event is better than the other, just that they are different styles. Holiday party vs. nightclub style dinner and dance show.

Yea I just asked DD if she would rather eat with Cinderella or the Evil Queen. Shocking but she quickly asked for the queen. I'm seriously considering it. I wouldn't cancel CRT but maybe a couple other ADR to cover it.

Wow there is not one bad review of Club Villian that I could find. All 4 or 5 stars out of 5. Tempting...
