Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

HEY GIRLS!!!!!
I have not posted in MONTHS! So sorry! It has been crazy around these parts. This summer my DS 1 (turning 2 next month) got life flighted to ATL for being non-responsive. Turns out is was only because his blood sugar crashed due to Strep. But we went through quite a panic and then a summer of testing his blood 4x a day. Looks like we are in the clear now. Praise God! Anyway, between that and school starting (I'm a teacher) I've been MIA. BUT with fastpasses having to be booked this week I had to get into serious planning mode!

So... I need to get myself added to the ROLECALL
Our family: myself, DH, DS (soon to be)4 and DS (soon to be)2 are staying at POP 11/25 through 12/3. First night is RO and then we are on FD

Also reading through the thread looks like I will be partying with bunch of you guys at BOG PPO on both 11/27 and 11/29!
Our schedule as of now is:
11/25- Arrival
11/26- HS 4:40 H&V Minnie's Fantasmic Package
11/27- MK 8:20 BOG, 7:00 WC
11/28- AK, 5:00 TRex, Night at DS
11/29- MK 8:20 BOG, 5:00 CP, Night at EP
11/30- HS 12:00 H&V Play and Dine, MK Night
12/1- 10:40 Ohana, Epcot
12/2- MK 11:05 BOG, 4:35 CRT
12/3- Departure

I feel pretty good about everything. Only problem is no room for ROL if rumors prove true and it opens. My only way would to be skip TRex but my oldest has asked to go back to the ice cave multiple times plus DH wants to explore DS more than we did last year!

I was going to ask this same question! I bought a bunch of short sleeved tees, thinking we would all bring a fleece jacket or something for chilly nights. Now, I'm worried it may be too cold.... We've never been past very early November.

So we've been there 2 different recent years at Thanksgiving through the week after Thanksgiving. First year we went at that time, I had no idea what to expect weather wise. We had always gone in the summer and what a nightmare that was. So we've had a big variety on weather at Thanksgiving time. We've been there when it's been pretty steady comfortable 70s during the day. You may throw on a sweatshirt in the morning and again at night. But day- warm and nice, but not hot. But then we also had a trip where we had a day that was freezing - high of 59 and then other days in the trip were 85 and super hot. Most of that trip was hot. So yes, you will need all kinds of clothing, shorts, pants, sweatshirts. Just depends on the year. Weather can be all over the place. Hoping for nice 70s this year.

Two questions for you guys 1)I am one of the people that did the 2nd Disney Visa Card to get the $200 gift card and bonus points. When I get to Disney do I just give them the gift cards and they will use those before they charge my credit card? Or can I call in and have them applied to my account? Last year we did online check in but still had to go through the front desk. Not sure if that is normal or not? 2) This is our 1st time staying at POP. Is there a certain area that is better than others? We def like a short walk to transportation with the two littles!

Stopped by Target to convert more Target GCs to Disney GCs. DH dropped me off and went over to Lowes to pick up some lumber. Dangerous situation! I wasn't there to tell him no and he wasn't there to tell me no.

I just got 2 toiletry bags, 2 little hanging bags, and a laundry bag. All on clearance with a lot of other typical dorm necessities. Only $11 total for all 5 items.

1. You can call and apply those cards toward your balance if you haven't paid off your package yet. You can also take them to the front desk and pay off your tab with them, but they won't hold them for you and they won't apply them ahead of time.

2. I haven't stayed at Pop yet, but we're doing a room only there for 2 nights before we move to AoA. There's a Pop Century thread over on the resorts board that would definitely be able to help you out!

If you're charging to magic bands, you'll have to go to the front desk after a few days to apply the GC to your tab - you can't "preload" the gift card to your account (which would be soooo much easier!)

We were in the back 40 at pop last year - 50s section about 4 rooms from the end. It was a hike! But sooo nice and quiet and we had a lake view. I asked for ground floor and lake view. Got both of those. Definitely mark only close to transportation if that's you big request!
