Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Has anyone been to Diamond Horseshoe in MK? I'm having to change around some plans. Last day will be on Thursday instead of Friday. My aunt and her husband are driving up from Tampa to spend the day with us (aka see DD enjoy the magic). She hasn't been to Disney in years. The only place that has openings are Tony's at 325 and Diamond Horseshoe at 140. It is a must to end the day with the Festival of Fantasy. So either would work especially if we could get at table outside at Tony's. 4/5 people are gluten free but like most Disney places think that we can make anything work.

Other question is about linking tickets. She will be purchasing Fl resident tickets. Can I link them to MDE so I can get all our FP together? Like I said she hasn't been to Disney in years and I know she won't know how do book FP. Plus I want them all together.

I concur with not needing hoppers with a little one - my youngest was 2.5 last time and we hit rope drop and were usually back to the room relatively early, didn't miss the hopper at all. This time we're getting the hopper for free dining but I'm hoping we can stretch the bedtime a little bit and get some good use out of the hopper.

Loving all the spreadsheets!! :D

I am seriously STRESSED over FP booking. I'm so tempted to book a room for the week before our arrival to open the window early and then cancel the reservation once my actual 60 window opens. But... it just does not feel right. Sigh..

Regardless... I'm sure we are going to have a great time!

Vent over...

As of now, the SW fireworks are not being shown on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. They just updated through the first week in November and have continued that schedule at least that far. If you really want to see SW fireworks (and maybe you couldn't care less about them, idk) you'll want to stick with the Wednesday night plan in case they continue to show them only a few nights per week.

I fall into the 'couldn't care less' camp, so not an issue for me, but thanks for the info!

Diamond horseshoe got pretty blah reviews - even worse than Tony's haha. You may love it though? I'd keep checking for something that appeals more, but keep something you're OK with as a back up?

And I believe if you link your MDE accounts you can make FP for everyone when your window opens? Or maybe that's only if they are onsite too? It's definitely worth a shot though!

Just found this thread (way late, as usual!). So excited for my girls' first trip! They are 4.5yo and 2.5yo. DH and I have been to the world a few times, but not since I was pregnant with the 4.5yo. We're arriving 11/25 but spending the first two nights at Vero Beach then moving to CBR for 11/27 through 12/5. Getting nervous about FP day but almost have our ADRs squared away.

Out tentative schedule:

Arrive around noon 11/27. Check in then head to MK for BBB. Take monorail to EPCOT for our Akershus ADR. Hopefully meet Anna/Elsa and if we're really lucky do FEA.

11/28 HS, H&V lunch ADR

11/29 MK, hop to EPCOT for Teppan Edo dinner ADR

11/30 down day, hopefully dinner DAR at GG

12/1 AK, PPO Tusker House

12/2 MK, Crystal Palace lunch ADR

12/3 EPCOT, 'Ohana dinner ADR

12/4 let the kids decide day (probably MK), Sanaa dinner ADR

12/5 MK, PPO CRT leaving MK at noon :(

Welcome! We've got quite. A few similar days :D

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned already, Touring Plans currently has Haunted Mansion as closed 11/28-12/2 :sad1:

It was mentioned a few pages back :( I'm really hoping it opens ON 12/2, that's our last day and I will be at MK so sad without riding it!

We'd have one opportunity, on Saturday the 3rd, to be able to ride it (I never have! When I was 11 I wimped out.) but I don't know if we'll have time to get back to MK :(

DD2 loved it last year. Laughed and laughed the whole way through. Of course she's not your typical DD. She wants to by a "spppoookkky" ghost for Halloween this year.

Bummer! My family hates it, but I love it. Such a classic nostalgic ride for me.

@Meeko5 If we borrow a second set of magic bands, there's nothing I need to do other than tap them at a kiosk for SDFP?

Yep! As long as they aren't linked to YOUR account you're good to go!

You can also use any MB for kids under 3 (who get the band but no tickets) :)

Awesome. Now I just need to gather 5 bands from my friends :)

From what I gather the only downfall is you won't be able to see the FP selections once you book them (without their MDE) so just take a pic of what you choose as a reminder :)

We have our MB from last trip, so I'll have DHs phone logged into our other MDE so we can view them if need be, but you can't modify them from the app anyway so it's no biggie not to have access to that.
