Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

We check in on the 26th so our FP day should be the 27th. I have my spreadsheet all made out. This is my first time with 60 FP so I hope I do this right. I didn't do TP, I figured with a group of 13 it will be hard to stick with a strict schedule. I will be super disappointed if I can't get a FEA FP for the girls. So nervous about doing FP!
I am in the same boat as you and I feel we probably won't be able to get SDFP for a group our size, I hope I am wrong.

You guys! I ended up subbing at the preschool my boys go to the past few days and have been too exhausted to DIS or even plan. I can't believe there were so many pages to catch up on!

I'm super impressed with all the spreadsheets! I too am hoarding a ridiculous number of ADRs that I will be dropping once plans get more final. I'll post here about any good ones, and hope that a snarky DISer doesn't send me a nasty PM about it!

Well, since no one else got a nasty PM, I guess I traded an ADR on this thread that they really wanted. Haters.

Wish I could join you, but we'll be at EPCOT doing Candlelight Processional with NPH!

So jealous!! I adore him, but my kids (and husband) would never sit through it. I watched him on YouTube and it made me all teary...

Did you book a CP dining package?

Yep, at Beirgarten. My DS, the ever sighing, eye rolling, face making teenager will not enjoy it. But I will just remind him how many hours we have spent sitting in tiny chairs and hard bleachers attending his "performances".

We have the CP dining package with Garden Grill breakfast for 12/1. DD might not be thrilled, but I am going to see NPH! This is probably the thing I am most excited about for the week, so DH and DD need to just suck it up!

I am planning on Wishes at MK on 11/30, however that seems like the only night I will be able to fit SW fireworks into my schedule so my current plan is go to DHS for SW then hop to MK for Wishes and EMH. Madness.

RE: the chart on the best spots to watch Wishes. I completely agree with the chart. I staked out a spot an hour before in the grassy area to relax and ended up moving because people were standing up and I felt like I wasn't center enough so I moved to the sweet spot between Caseys and the Plaza.

Oh that's good to know! I'm planning to bring a picnic blanket that folds and zips into a little bag for that night. Aren't there low walls built around there too? Maybe I can snag a spot by a wall so the kids can stand and watch?

You can definitely sit closest to the wall and it will be a perfectly good spot. There is a short fence/wall and on the side there are some trees from what I remember from last year. We were super comfy lounging in that area until people started lining up in the street and we decided to move to be center since its my favorite spot to watch from. I've watched Wishes from every angle (behind the castle, right up front, far back, near Tomorrowland, on the porch at Crystal Palace and the sweet spot really is dead center on Main street.

For a unique perspective if anyone is seeing Wishes twice, stand behind the castle near the carousel/Pinocchio's Village. You don't have the fireworks framed around the castle but you get an incredible fireworks show with nothing in the way since they are set off behind the castle.

Honestly at this point I'm thinking of taking a piece of poster board, writing the name of every ride, attraction, show, etc we might possibly be interested on little post-it flags, and moving the pieces around til it fits. Like the seating chart for a wedding. *is insane*

Not to tout TouringPlans or anything, but maybe consider them? It's kinda the same thing, but in a virtual sense with some AI involved to help you both a) put things in order for you or b) evaluate the order you've chosen. It takes a bit of time, but it works pretty well.
