Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

On a side note, this SW fireworks hooplah is driving me nuts! My husband will be super bummed if he misses it. I would be too but once upon a time, I may or may not have went to Disney with my mom WITHOUT DH and was at Star Wars weekend and saw Symphony in the Stars and DH may or may not have been super jealous and mad he didn't get to attend. So we HAVE to make something work so he doesn't miss the new show so I can ease my guilt :D. I know if he had went to Disney without me....>:(

Right there with you on the SW fireworks. It's the biggest priority nighttime thing for us. My kids LOVE SW. I'm building lots of evening time for potential hopping over to HS just in case. But oy!

Wow, some of those s/s put mine to shame. But it sure is fun seeing all of the different tools we use.

I like yours! I am also considering the monorail bar crawl later in my trip and so far 12/2 seems like the best fit for my schedule if we do it. :)

I'm glad I'm not on the dining plan because that would add a whole different level of detailed planning for me!

I had never heard of it until someone in this thread (probably you) mentioned it!

I, too, love seeing the tools everyone uses and how they like to get themselves organized! I've definitely gathered a few ideas I'd like to implement for my own planning purposes.

Yep I think that was me. I heard about it on another thread in the "Adults and Solo Trip" forum. Then I googled and read the link below and thought it sounded like a great idea! My husband loves bars. He was a bar rat when I met him, but now we rarely go and usually it's for dinner and drinks rather than just a night at a bar. But anytime he hears about a bar crawl he begs me to go. I'm not so big on bars, but on vacation I can loosen up! But my main thing is that I want to go resort hopping to see them, especially with Christmas decorations.

We can't be bar crawling, but im thinking this trip DH and I will be splitting a Lapu Lapu at the poly. One would be wayyyy too much for me but I'm sure DH is up to the challenge ;)

Resort hopping w/beautiful decorations and delicious beverages...sounds like an awesome evening! So thank you for mentioning it. It'll be trumped if there's AK pm entertainment, but I'm excited for this option too.

I do not like to drink a lot. I likely will get an appetizer instead of a drink anywhere that a specific drink doesn't jump out at me. I'm pretty picky about what I drink too.

Are you planning on "Drinking around the world" at Epcot? I want to, but not in the way of trying to do it all in one day! We'll be at Epcot a lot of evenings so we'll do it in pieces a few at a time. Part of my thing is that I would rather eat my calories, so it'll be a tough decision between snacks vs. drinks for me.

I saw a picture of one the other day and I agree that's a drink to share. I can't wait until after my plans are set and FPs are gotten and I can focus more on finding what neat drinks and food I want to eat. You know, the important stuff!

We've tried, but my wife is more adventurous when it comes to trying new foods or drinks. I'm a cheap domestic beer guy. I'll try a crazy martini or razzled up tropical drink/margarita, but they usually tend to get too sweet. But eating/drinking around the world is a must during F&W. That was a lot of fun for us.

More FP fun - thoughts on the best FPs to get for Tier 2 attractions at Epcot? DHS? (Thinking ToT and either Star Tours or Frozen Singalong for DD4.)

Question for anyone...is there a good reason to get MVMCP hard tickets vs email?
Do the hard tickets look nice for souvenir value?

If you get the physical tickets, you could dive into the world of same day FPs (SDFP) with them, if you do not link them to your main MDE profiles. You could link them to phantom profiles on your MDE. There's a very detailed and useful thread on that here: http://www.disboards.com/threads/everything-sdfp-second-set-fp-long-faq.3520747/

I got the physical for both SDFP use and also because I think it'll be easier to make sure only your party ticket is used to enter the park on the party day (we won't be using our other park tickets on our party day). Although if it did get screwed up, I hear guest services can rectify it pretty easily.

Okay, who among us has the first crack at Fastpasses? I know some of you arrive on 11/25, is that the earliest of our regular thread members?

Our fastpass day is 9/29! That's just two weeks from tomorrow!
