Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

So I made the mistake of looking at the menu for Art Smiths restaurant and maaaay have booked a dinner there on the day we had planned to do T. rex for late lunch.

Maybe I could talk the kids into just getting dessert at T Rex after dinner at Homecoming...because yes T. rex looks fun and all but fried chicken and southern comfort food sounds so much yummier!

I want to eat there so bad!! I can't find a reservation that fits :(

I'll have to choose between that and T Rex, and I know the kids would prefer T. rex hands down. We didn't go last year and when we walked by my oldest made me promise we could eat there next time. Hence the maybe dessert which would be OOP. Gah.

I added our ME reservation to our reservation and also put $550 on DH's new disney visa towards the balance (come on $200 CG! Woo!) and I've been watching Woody try to complete my request for 10 min now :crazy2:

Their website is killing me lately!

Lately? It's been that way for years! :sad2:

Has anyone who did the Disney Visa deal seen the $50 rewards credit in the original account yet? I received the $200 gift card a couple days after I got my first credit card bill on the new card (I had over $500 on that first bill). I'm still waiting for dh's account to get the $50 rewards though. I'm hoping it'll pop up on the next closing date. I went back and checked the fine print of the offer and it said to allow 6-8 weeks for the credit to appear.

I haven't received mine yet...

I cant remember how long it took to credit my reward dollars last year, from when I used the card to pay the trip balance. I know it said 6-8 weeks for the $200 GC and I got it in like 3. I will note the date since I made the payment on the new disney visa today and see how long it takes!

I also never heard from the friend if she and her husband did apply for the visa using my referral. No reward dollars in my account yet from that if they did, but I dont want to ask and seem like I'm just fishing for the $50 reward haha.

Trying this morning to figure out a general FP plan too. I think we may just split the Soarin/Test track like we did last year and not bother with FEA, or head there at rope drop and hope the kids don't lose it waiting in a longish line first thing. My oldest won't care to ride it, but since it's one we can do as a family and the little one likes Olaf I want to try to hit it at some point.

Also on pinterest and working on making some little magic band decals for everyone - there are some really cute ones on Etsy that I can easily recreate and I've got a stash of vinyl just waiting to be used! I'm thinking star wars themed - droids or lightsabers for the kids, Leia and Han "I love you, I know" for DH and I :D

I think we might end up with 3 days at Epcot. If we do, we'll do soarin' the first day and FEA the second two days (figuring fp's will be easier to secure later in our trip). If we don't like it that much after the first time, I should be able to switch our second day of fp's to TT at that point without much trouble.

earlier someone referenced a 2017 Room Only bounce back that they said also was available - any info on this? Since we rarely get the dining plans, I would be more interested in that for next year.

EDITED: Sorry - posted on wrong thread...I'm following the 2017 BB offer thread too for a potential trip next year and am interested in what the Bounce Backs will be for the time we are there in November....

I've been following the BB offers pretty carefully and I think the only thing available right now is the Free Dining BB. The next BB offer should come out in October.

I was sure someone on that thread mentioned a new RO offer too...maybe I dreamed it, but wanted to follow up.
