Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

We had lunch at WPE last fall on a saturday and it Downtown Disney was packed, but we had no trouble navigating and finding a table. Then DH and DS1 used our DisneyQuest vouchers while the toddler and I shopped (and he crashed in the stroller thank god). I think if you're onsite and taking a bus over and back, it should be ok. We plan to have dinner there (hoping for T Rex!) on Saturday and wander around a bit too, if I can brave the crowds you can too!

That sounds like a good plan Maybe by this fall there will be more parts of Disney Springs opened up and the crowds will disperse some.

I did try to peruse some trip reports, the basic gist I got was that it's crazy busy, but couldn't find a lot of specifics. I'm 75% sure we'll do our resort and Disney Springs on 11/26 but there's this small part of me that wants to use this day to go to Epcot, since I feel like we don't spend enough time there with my current plans - to get an ADR for a place we haven't tried, use a couple of fast passes, and anything else would be bonus. I know that's a terrible idea because of the crowds but I can't shake it. I have this secret hope that the new nighttime stuff at HS and AK will draw the crowds away from Epcot.

Well I managed to book my Friday night at sports finally - had to live chat with Disney for them to tell me their website "doesn't play well" with Firefox and to try chrome. It worked with Firefox for everything I booked before but oooook.

So yay! Officially all booked!! Time to finalize some ADRs and park days. Wish we had the December park hours!

I'm trying not to, but I'm seriously starting to get a bit angry about that. Touring Plans has the December park hours (estimated, of course) but I think they have emh's listed wrong. Unfortunately, until Disney decides to grace us with some hours, I can't know for sure! At this point, I assume we'll get the updated hours on Sunday or Monday (yes, I've seen them released on a Sunday before) and I guess that will give me enough time to plan before my ADR date, but grr...

Saturday will be a resort/Disney springs day for my crew.

We plan to do parks M-F, and possibly Sunday but haven't added that day to our tickets yet.

NOT MK!! lol

Josh is recommending HS the most, followed by Epcot. MK is not recommended and AK is the least recommended park that day. This is from his preliminary calendar so it's possible things will change.

I always use Saturdays as a Disney Springs and/or hotel hopping day. I avoid the parks. I would think MK would be the busiest of all that day, though. We arrive in town late evening that night, staying off-site one night. We're just going to hit Disney Springs most likely.

that's what I figure too. I was banking on using Disneyquest vouchers that come with the magic your way packages, but I guess they don't include those anymore. I did see something in the package about Mini Golf though. I wonder what that's about and where?

My guess would be that most shoppers will be focused on malls and discount stores (Walmart, Target, etc...), however, Saturday has become "Small Business Saturday" so I don't know if that would encourage more shoppers to go to places like DS or not. Hard to say. I guess having a back up plan would be the way to go. Someone mentioned mini golf, I bet that would be a great option for that day!
