Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Just finished - not as happy as I'd like but we can make it work. No FEA at all for the days that would work for me so we will attempt to RD it and I snagged a Soarin instead for our Epcot day. Also wanted to get a late night EE but the latest I could find was like 4. But its just my sister and I so we can single rider line and get to experience it at dark. My dates are 11/28-12/2 and no Haunted Mansion on 12/2 - really hoping it is open that day as its one of my favorites!

Mixed results. I was able to keep our fp time at FEA on only 1 day. I was able to get a somewhat acceptable time for all of us on another day (had to switch from 11:40 am to 5:15 pm). On a third day the best I could do was get a fp for just dh and myself at 8:10, the kids have fp's at 1:35. On our first Epcot day, the kids have a 4:25 but there was no availability for dh and myself so I grabbed Soarin' for us instead and we'll decide what to do later. I might end up moving all of us to Soarin', or maybe two of us will do Soarin' while the other 4 go to FEA. We can just swap magicbands to get the people to each ride that want to do that ride, kwim?

Bummer on FEA but recent reports are that RD isnt too awful for it.

And I am so with you on haunted mansion!! We will be in MK 12/2 and I may cry if it's not open yet!

There is a thread for FEA and 7DMT FP cancellations. You might want to go watch that thread if you haven't already. I think there is one for October, November, and December. It doesn't move nearly as fast as the ADR cancellation pages.

St this pointnive got SDMT and Space on both of our MK days lol. They both were favorites of the kiddo so I figured why not. We will be doing lots of zig zagging but oh well.

That and I'm banking on SDFP selections for the less popular rides. Watch them close that loophole the day we arrive

And don't forget to check back at the 30 day mark too - people that have to cancel last minute may free up some coveted FP!

Okay, I need to collect my thoughts *zen breathing*

At first I thought it was a disaster, because my #1 goal was to overlap with BFF on Tuesday morning at MK. Hah! If only I needed FPs for less popular rides! I was also getting nervous that the non-FP stuff in our touring plan wouldn't work properly because it would be a lot more crowded than their system anticipates. But finally I just kind of gave up on that. Once I did I was much happier!

Tuesday 11/29 Magic Kingdom
PPF - wanted 10:25, got 12:35. I can deal with that; we'll do it after lunch
7DMT - wanted 11:40, got zilch. Really the only major disappointment. Went back and looked and it was available around 5:30 but I want to be out of the park before then.
Splash - 1:45
Jungle Cruise - 2:55
Don't remember what I wanted for those; already shuffled things around in my TP according to what I could get. I'm mostly content.

Wednesday 11/30 Animal Kingdom
EE: 9:45; we're just gonna do the queue walkthrough cos I know dad and aunt can't do the ride and I'm 50/50 on whether I can but I really want to see this!
FotLK: 11:30 for noon show
Don't think we need FPs for anything else at AK. Hoping that after the show I can make pm FPs for MK! Also considering scrapping these, taking our chances, and just booking pm FPs instead.

ToT: 2:20; another one just to do the queue - there's no way in hell I can do the actual ride without an airsickness bag!
Generally a slow day of nothing much!

Are you planning to do SDFPs (same day fast passes) at all? If so, I think you are pretty safe to make PM FPs this day and SDFP stuff at AK when you get there in the morning. You just might have to be more flexible with what times you get for things in AK based on availability.

That's a relief - I'm sorry the FEA didn't work out as well as you'd hoped but I'm really happy that you were able to keep the rest.

I hope HM is open for you guys on 12/2! I tried to get a nighttime EE too but no love. Hoping it'll be quiet near close.

It looks like you did pretty well - I'm sorry Tuesday didn't work out. Hopefully something will come up before, if not it sounds like whatever happens you'll make it work.

Just got a text from TP about Askershus on Nov. 29 am for 3. Received the text at 8:47 but they found the ADR at 8:25. Needless to say it was gone!
So bummed!



I am going to drop my 11/30 coral reef at 2:30, 1:25 whispering and 8:30am Akershus if anyone is interested. Posting on cancellation page also.
