was thinking of 11/28--12/8 and there are no standard rooms left in the moderates or values according to disney CM when i called. is there something going on. thought this was a slow week. should i call back

Free dining is that week and that is making it very busy (at least I feel that way)

Also, Pop Warner is 12/3 - 12/10 this year so you are hitting some overlap there. They take a huge block of rooms at certain Value and Moderate resorts and the participants are required to stay at a Disney property. In 2015, it was the All Stars, Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs.

I think it is going to be a little busier than usual this year because of FD but I also think attendance at resorts and/or the amount of interest on a board like this are poor indicators for crowds overall.

The difference between 90 and 100% capacity at resorts due to FD and pop warner is pretty insignificant compared to offsite and local attendance, Disney resorts are never much below 90%.

Way more likely for crazy planner types to choose this particular week than the average tourist. I've had trouble getting ADRs and FP+ during free dining before and the parks were walk on much of the day.
