Week after Thanksgiving or First week of December?

I've seen it posted several times on this board about hotels being booked for the first week of December. We decided to stay at Contemporary Garden wing. There are no rooms available first week of December except through TA. How are crowds on the tail end of the holiday weekend and are the crowd levels different for those two weeks?

I'd be curious. I've always wanted to go the week after Thanksgiving.

I'm curious as well- from different crowd calendars the first week of December looks less crowded, but I'd love to see what people who have actually been think.

We will be there from Thanksgiving Day - following Saturday. I had planned our trip based on expected lower crowds after Thanksgiving. We don't intend to go to the parks on Thanksgiving Day or Friday.

The first week of December is usually the Pop Warner Super Bowl and cheerleader championships at the Wide World of Sports complex. This year it is scheduled from December 2-10. We have visited WDW in the past when this event has been held and the parks are pretty crowded. Most of the families stay at the All Star Resorts so you shouldn't be too affected if you stay at the Contemporary.

We've gone the first week of December for the past 5 years. It's been progressively more crowded each year. This year already seems like it will be more crowded than usual since the rooms are mostly booked. BUT I think it is still less crowded than the rest of December.
