Congrats on the first Disney Marathon!
Disclaimer: I don't visit the parks often, so don't have a lot to compare to and have only been to AK on Monday this past year.
It wasn't bad. It was morning EMH hours for AK. We got there a few minutes before rope drop. We were able to ride K. Safaris 3 times in the first 1.5 hours with maybe a total wait of 20 minutes. We rode EE about 7 times (single rider line) with a total wait of 5 minutes. No wait at CS restaurants and easy to get a table. The animal trails were pleasantly uncrowded.
I'm guessing the rest of the week is similar, if not better. That's based on the guess that a lot of runners may tack on an extra park day but not a whole week.
And besides, the more people in the park the more people to see you in your marathon shirt!
