Week after Easter

We're looking to add a DL trip (3-4 days) onto an already scheduled trip to San Diego for Easter Weekend. A couple of questions:

1) How crowded is it compared to other very crowded periods? For example, DH and I came to DL over New Years several years ago and literally could not move independent of the crowd through portions of NOS during the mid-afternoon on New Years Day. Does it get that bad?

2) Does it make a difference how much farther removed we are from Easter (Tuesday vs. Wednesday vs. Thursday for arrival)?

3) How far out do we need to book TS dining or other "reservation" type items? We have usually had good luck day of (or maybe the day before), but except for the aforementioned New Years trip, we've never been during a particularly crowded time (We're usually there in late September, early October).

Thanks!
Heather

My instinctive answer is that Disneyland is still expecting high(ish) crowds the week following Easter. Easter is April 5, 2015 and the SoCal and SoCal Select AP block out goes through 4/11 (SoCal) or 4/12 (SoCal Select). Based on that, it would imply that they still anticipate seeing "Spring Break" crowds the week following Easter. I don't think "Spring Break" crowds are quite like New Years just because "Spring Break" tends to be more spread out (meaning not everyone gets the same time period off).

We live in N Calif and that week is our spring break. I think it will be crowded but not NYE crowded.

I agree. Nothing is as bad as NYE, right? So it won't be that bad...but many of the local school districts are on Spring Break that week.

I will say that I think the crowds will drop a bit after Monday. Los Angeles Unified goes back to school on Tuesday, 4/7, and that one district accounts for about half a million students. If you can, skip Monday and wait until Tuesday.
