My DS6 sometimes wets the bed at night; we will be travelling to Disney shortly. What have other people used for their big ones who have accidents at night? We use a sturdy, heavy pad at home, but I don't want to be doing laundry every day at WDW. Any disposable pads work for anyone? I really do not want to resort to putting diapers on my 6 year old, but I also do not want the mattress to get wet either. Yuck. Any suggestions for pads?

We use Goodnights too. It's probably the easiest option. They also make a "boxer" style now for both girls and boys.

My son just turned 7 and still doesn't wake up most nights. I always put on one of the Goodnights boxers on him just in case. We tried just about everything and they are the most reliable. Plus since they look more like shorts than diapers, he doesn't mind wearing them. Good luck.

Definitely the Good nights!! Especially since your routine will be varied when you get there!!! And of course we always seem to drink more 'bad' drinks when we are there and just excitement in general:yay: We did have a wet night once and it WAS awful!! Mouse keeping was wonderful, but still, yuck!! Have a good time!!

My 6 year old wears Goodnites (he has special needs) but you can also request a "rubber sheet" on the beds. Sometimes his leak if he goes a lot, so I requested just in case.

With my DD, right before I went to sleep, I would pick her up and carry her to the toilet. She would have already been asleep for an hour or so. She would only rouse a little bit, but enough to pee. Then I'd slip her back in bed and she'd go right back to sleep. It took care of our nighttime wetting problem.

My DD is 3 and refuses to wear pull ups to bed. I bought disposable wee wee pads for puppies and they work great. You can get them at Target and Walmart.

My DD7 wore goodnights last year and will again this year. Usually she says "No Way" to them but we had discussed it calmly many weeks before we went. She helped pick them out and am I ever glad we used them. There wasn't a morning that they weren't full. It was August and so hot I couldn't curtail her liquid at night and naturally we were totally off schedule. The goodnights gave us one less thing to worry about.

Thanks! Goodnights sound like the way to go!

Just FYI, Pampers has just come out with a product similar to Goodnites, called "Underjams". I've talked to a few people I know who use them on their kids and they seem to like them better than Goodnites -I guess the Goodnites leaked on them but these didn't.

I'm sure either product would be ok for the trip.

To be even more sure, I use a mattress pad from Target (it travels well and covers 2/3rds of a single mattress as well as Good nites. That way if he's had a really hard, tired day, I don't have to worry about the mattress.

I'm borrowing an idea posted elsewhere... vinyl shower curtain for protecting the bed. But we are also stating in a villa with w/d so laundry isn't as much of an issue. We've used Huggies Night time pullups and they work well.
