DH - Rick (49) - Driver and chief worrier
DW - Julia (42) - Co-Pilot and wanderer (where is your mum?)
DS - Matt (15) - Chief Babe Spotter
DD - Nicole (13) - Disney "wannabee Animator"

This is our 12th visit as a family and first time to Cypress Pointe.
We have surprised the kids twice before but this time is definitely the biggest yet (Suprised will be revealed on Trip Report for Aug/19th).

Day 9 - Aug/18

This morning DW awoke and being in a good holiday mood she made bacon, egg and toast with fresh fruit for everyone (including setting the table!). DH almost fell on the floor not beleiving what he was seeing (DW make breakfast on vacation?).After a delicious breakfast by DW we went out to The Florida Mall for more shopping. The route we took was a bit congested with lots of construction going on ,on Orange Blossum Trail. We parked at JC Penney and wandered the mall for a few hours. DH and DS went into the Apple Store and Electronic Boutique. DW and DD went into CVS Drugs and M&M Store.

This is our first time at Florida Mall and we are impressed by the mall itself however,we found the prices to be a bit more expensive than what we are used to in Canada (comparing apples to apples.....ie:Old Navy Vs Old Navy).
Something else we are not used to is the level of service you receive in the mall (ie:there is no browsing....you are asked if you need help as soon as you walk in the door). Some may see this as great customer service whereas DW finds it annoying (but we cannot complain about the choice and selection of merchandise....its very impressive).Purchases made today include,Pirates Of The Caribbean "Dead Mens Chest" PSP Game,Lots of chocolate from CVS (Terrys,Twix,Rolo,Milky,Snickers,Dairy Milk). Unknown to DH ,DW picks up a Real Estate magazine for homes in the Orlando area (she seems to know something about winning the next lottery!). Florida Mall is defintely not a typical toursist type mall (we noticed hardly a belly bag in sight....other than ours). We all prefer Festival Bay and Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets.
We take a different route back to the villa and find that its a quicker and easier route (Orange Blossum to Sandlake Rd to Apopka Vineland).
Lunch in the villa then a quick swim before heading out for our second attempt at Bahama Breeze. This time we leave at 4-30pm and we find no trouble parking,no line ups and we are seated immediately. It was a very nice atmosphere with an attentive (but not annoying) waiter.
3 Filet Mignon and 1 Grilled Cheese and Fries,2 Bahama Mamas,1 Homemade Lemonade with Sugar cane,1 Apple Juice,1 Blue Mountain Coffee....$94 +tip.
Everything tasted real good and we would definitely return.

Back to Cypress Pointe for another swim and then up to the villa for desert which consisted of Haggen Das Vanilla Ice Cream and Pepperridge Farm Triple Chocolate Layer Cake. It was yummy! :) . The desert made DW so happy that she started to do a Laundry (will wonders never cease)!

You crack me up with the work your wife is doing on vacation. You just can't take the domestic chores away from us. We just don't feel normal.

In Wisconsin we have a lot of Old Navy Stores, and prices reflect the region you are in, ie. Milwaukee is more expensive the Appleton WI.

We never shopped in a mall till my kids were teenagers, and I almost had a heart attack with the prices of clothes and tennis shoes. Teenagers are really expensive, versus, diapers and baby clothes.
