I used to do all my packing - but now DW has banned me

I just give her the piles of clothes I want to take, and she packs 'em

It saves time and money on counselling fees !!

Do they seem to be space saving/convenient or make him come across as a bit odd? I never heard them, but I might begin packing for any trips I have up to 6 months early...not out of need, but out of a "I'd rather be anywhere but here" mentality.

Others here have heard this already but since you asked I'll tell you free of charge how to pack in 5 minutes without using a whole set of luggage that you won on Wheel of Fortune:

Staying 5 days or less: One of every essential for each day + 1

Staying 5 to 10 days: One of every essential for each day + 2

Staying more than 10 days: That's not vacation. That's called moving in which case you take everything.

OK...I'm staying in a Villa with a wash machine, AND more than 10 days so those two rules cancelled each other out. Sometimes when I have a bad day at home I curl up near my suitcase (if packed for a trip) and rock.

My rules for packing while staying at the villas is I divide the number of days in half, and take that many different shirts. I don't want to wear the same thing every day, but if one of the bellmen or someone notices me wearing the same thing twice in one stay, I figure they're checking me out, and should at least buy me dinner.
