Just wondering about people and their thoughts towards their wedding bands.

I wear any combination of a thin gold band that DH gave me to wear when my fingers are swollen or I don't want a bunch of hardware, my actual wedding band and engagement ring (seldom), my anniversary band, and another ring DH gave me. Lately I've been favoring the understated look of the gold band and anniversary band together.

I wear my engagement ring, wedding band and anniversary band when we are out (shopping, dinner, anything out of the house). When I get home they are just like my bra...gone! I take them off and put them in a bowl on my dresser. It bothers me to have them on when I clean the house or mess in the yard. (the rings not the bra!)

My band is a wrap thing so I can't wear it without the engagement ring. I wear it all the time unless I'm sleeping, showering, or doing something messy.

Or, sitting around in my pj's like today =)

I wear my wedding rings only when going out shopping, working, running errands, etc.

When I'm done and in for the day, all jewelry comes off.

I wear both my engagement ring and wedding band all day. I take them off when I get home from work. The first few weeks I didn't, but my husband started complaining that the engagement ring was scratching him at night (it has a high setting). Now I just take them off. They stay cleaner that way too.

It will be 12 years in a month, and the only times I removed them was for surgery, and one ITSAKADOOZIE fight where I placed them in my DH's pants.::eek: ..Let us say, I won't do that again..I love my rings, and wear them 24/7

I wear my engagement ring and wedding ring always. It's never occured to me not to wear them. I can't even remember the last time I may have taken them off. :confused3

I wear just my gold band when I'm at home. DH did buy me a white gold band for when my fingers swell, I have to say I have 6 or 7 different sets of wedding sets. i have from 1/4 carat to 1 carat to a set that looks like my grandmothers. To a ring that was my great grandmothers when she married in 1900, then it went to my grandmother when she married in 1925 and then my mother when she married in 1970 and then me, when I married in 1992. And it will go to my DD on her wedding day

I took mine off halfway through pregnancy because of swelling and have just been able to get them on again.

I don't wear them when I clean or do dishes. Otherwise I wear them most of the time. I don't have a routine with them so sometimes it will take me a while to notice that I don't have them on after cleaning or something.

I wear my wedding band when I'm out of the house for any reason. I don't wear any jewelry in the house at all. I don't wear my engagement ring unless we're going out somewhere special. Actually I need to take it to the jeweler because one of the prongs is bent.

Honestly, I don't really like having any jewelry on so I guess that's why it comes off right away when I step into our house.

I outgrew my original rings and since they are antique, I refuse to have them cut and resized. I wear a plain white gold band, rarely take it off.

I clicked that I never wear my wedding ring... and that is true, but I don't wear ANY jewelery ever, not even a watch.

I wear the band that belonged to his great grandmother. His mother gave it to me and it is platinum with six small diamonds and it is the one he put on my finger when we were married. It was given to her in 1911 and it is a treasured heirloom. I also wear in front of it the solitare set DH bought me a pawn shop about 5 years after were married. It is a combination of white and yellow gold with a 1/4 carat solitaire.

I have an anniversary band that my DH gave me one year. I take it off as soon as I get home. My hand was smashed in a car door so I don't wear jewelry on that finger unless I am going out.

I wear my engagement ring, wedding band and anniversary ring all the time. I take them off very rarely.

::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo Hi Anne:wave: I'm on the web most of the day and some days I just don't want my ring. I "outgrew" my original ring some years ago, and a couple of years ago I found a COOL ::MickeyMo ring at the CR gift shop. I wear it as my wedding ring. After 33 years of marriage, even gold is just a shiny symbol. :)

I wear mine all of the time. The engagement ring is 1 1/4 carat total weight. I have just a plain band to go with it (didn't want it to be too much.) I worked in a jewelry store for 7 years, so I got a really great deal on it!!

I don't wear my band ever - hasn't fit since my sixth month of pregnancy. I wear my engagement ring when I remember to, which is maybe about half the time.

Interestingly, I still always wear my college ring on my right hand when I go out - I keep it with my watch and it's automatic to put the two of them on.

In the evening at home, I don't wear any jewelry. But I do put them on in the morning and wear them all day.

Actually, I broke my wedding band a number of years ago. We eventually had it repaired, but in the meantime my mother had given me her wedding ring because she decided to quit wearing it. My father has been dead a number of years and it had belonged to his grandmother. She thought he'd want me to have it. So I wear it now instead of the one that DH gave me. My "real" wedding rings are in my jewelry box. He now wears a different ring on his ring finger because his wedding ring is tight.
