wedding

Ok I am sooooo behind but here we go:
1. your cake topper is adorable - do whatever YOU will like in 50 years. Not something you think you should do. My DF and I swung around from traditional, to a sandcastle, and finally to a WillowTree topper

2. The 2nd mothers gift is precious. Suit you and your mom, not the general public. My DM is even wearing a traditonal "MOB" outfit...because she looks really weird and grandma-ish. If its not personal to you, its not the right one. :goodvibes

3. Dont forget to breathe in all this excitement!:rotfl:

Dilemmas make the world go wrong lol

Now, the girl has blond hair but by god, the woman looks like my mother when she was young and the little girl was wearing a dress....

Its called "seaside stroll" and my whole life was spent with my mother and I on the beach. Her mothers day gift was a beach tote with a bathing suit flip flops etc... beachy...

I like the seaside stroll one...it's sweet...

and btw...I've never even seen or heard of the first one you showed :confused3, must not be a big deal down here...

Wow Jenny soooo many updates! I love the new cake topper and I definately think that the "stroll on the beach" figurine is the right one for you and your mom! She will love it! Now I'm worried about the leg... way too close to the wedding for this sort of thing- I guess we will just have to wrap you in bubble wrap!!! For real though keep it iced and elevated for the next 48 hours then switch to heat. Probably isn't broken (hopefully) but I'm sure you've damaged all the soft tissue and possibly bruised the bone. You'll probably develop a hematoma (which is a large collection of blood under the skin). Take care of yourself and keep us updated:hug:

I dont think its broken thank god! I keep putting ice on it. I still cant straighten it or bend it completely and it is killing me when I walk...such a goof I am...
Thank you hun, I appreciate your help!

i understand. i am jewish and my stepmom is catholic and we also celebrate all the holidays. my fiancee is catholic as is my brother in law. i love celebrating all the holidays! we are not greek at all and don't really celebrate the greek holidays.

they are also on 10th. i always forget if its 82 and 83 or 83 and 84 as the cross streets though. my cousins are very handsome and tall. you can't miss them. :lmao:

Aww, thats awesome! My best friends mom is jewish and her dad is catholic and they have the best mixed holidays... I was always jealous growing up because their family was so so close!

We are between 83 and 84th :)

I like it better too. yes its pretty big here, and for a whopping 170 dollars "everyone's doing it"

Ok I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo in love with that figure, and if that looks like you mom HOLY MOLY your mom is gorgeous! Such a wonderful gift, I bet she will cry (in a good way:goodvibes)

Now the leg, yikes!! I will give you the same rule I give my students before the recital... No Doing Anything Dangerous! Which I guess includes wearing slippers... don't worry one of my students last year broke her femur a week before the recital while walking her dog... so crazy stuff happens.

I have had bone bruises before and they can range from like Steph said (very serious) to not so bad, just a few days of discomfort. I say pop a few aleve and rest rest rest, keep it elevated and iced and give yourself a fews days off before doing any serious walking or anything like that. Vin is under Dr Sam's strict orders to take good care of you for the weekend (and ya know, forever too :rotfl2:lol). So make sure he knows his job for the next few days!
Dr Sam's orders!

LOL when my mom was younger, that is EXACTLY what she looked like. The body wave hair, the size 2 body. Lordy loo i am so so jealous of her!! lol
As for the leg the gym teacher has been coming in every so often to replace the ice:rotfl:

Geez, I feel like I missed so much.

I love the cake topper, very unique and seems like you.

I can not see the mom gift pictures at work, damn blocking, but I am sure it is lovely and you have made the right choice. You have to go with what you think is right not what people say is the "norm"

I'm sorry to hear about your slippage, it sounds like me, I'm very clutzy. I hope you feel better and listen to Dr. Sam's orders :rotfl:

awww Jenny I hope you're leg is feeling better  ... now we know why they are really called 'slippers' !!

that is exactly the sort of thing i would do, i can be so clumsy.. i nearly always have a bruise on my leg from walking into a table, chair, bed-post, doh! :rotfl:

that second statue is beautiful.. it will be personalised too if you paint the child's hair brown too :thumbsup2

Emma princess: xxxxxxxxxx

I really love the second figurine. I am so glad you decided on it. I hadn't even thought of getting my mom a present. Hmmm...

Hope your leg is feeling better.

WHAT an adventure...

So, yesterday, I took a muscle relaxer and I was much much better thank goodness. There is a massive bruise but its okay now...

Also, I jsut found out one of my favorite people is on the boards, so Lulu PLEASE come out from hiding....<3 lol

So... Yesterday, we decided that we would head to Ikea to get our dvd holders and our second end table...

Low and behold (thank you vin for always choosing solid wood instead of compressed) it was discontinued from the Ikea in Brooklyn.... nice huh? Why must he get the "real" when we could have gotten the fake..

So... we decide, after eating a hotdog that did not settle well with my stomach, that we would head out to Hicksville, where they "claimed" to have 24 left in stock, the only place left to have it...

2 hours later, one almost sickness out the window, and 20 dollars later, we spend ten minutes in Ikea LI to get it, thank GOD it was there!!!!

On the way home, we stuffed our faces with Kex candy (YUM) and this morning I managed to LOSE .4 lbs. Okay not alot but with all that we did yesterday I expected at least a 1 lb GAIN! lol

I should plan a wedding every year:rotfl:

ahhhh nothing better than a muscle relaxer unless its percaset(sp) or oxycoton! they gave me both when i bruised my leg. how is it feeling today?

surprisingly its okay... i dohave to pee every five minutes though-the nurse says its because its a muscle lol

OMG Jenny I've missed so much stuff in your PJ! I hope your leg is better, that really sucks! Though slipping on your slipper is kinda funny :lmao:

I've never heard of that figure you said most brides get their moms, but I think that Seaside Stroll is soo cute and sounds like it is perfect for you and your mom. I have no idea what I am getting my mom. I might buy my parents APs because they've been talking about it, but I feel like I need to do something else too.

You're soo close! I'm so excited for you and your wedding day!!!!

Updates, Updates, get your updates here!!

Okay so, lets start with the good stuff!

I dont even know where to begin however...

Wedding DIYs are COMPLETE!! This weekend I have finished all of the following:

Menus for reception
centerpieces (all boxed separately)
Programs
Cry packs

Booked rehearsal dinner
made rehearsal diner invites
made rd centerpieces
made rd menus

Now all I have to do is find silk flower corsages and bouttineers at a reasonable price (Anyone want to help? I am kind of stuck) I was looking for roses for thegrandmothers and orchids for the father/mother of bride/groom...

Okay so we also....

Finished our living room at 1130 last night! lol. We headed to the store and bought our garbage pail, and a bunch of decor for the rooms, we got our salt and pepper grinders AND on top of all of that, Vin found a small anchor to go with our "nautical" themed bedroom! I will post before and after pictures very soon, the results are unreal...

So, some bad news- my knee has been killing me all weekend. I really think I should have gotten the surgery this december instead of running mroe and more. I am so afraid I will have to take it easy at disney.... although I guess thats not too bad?

Then this morning, I crashed my OTHER leg into the OTHER side of the bed so now, I have matching cuts and bruises. There goes my leg shots for the wedding oh welL! lol...

Other than that I cant believe HOW much i got done. Its kind of crazy and I dont know how I did it. Oh and, sunday for being UNDER 40 days vin and I headed to IHOP and got pancakes... I Thought for surei would gain weight but nope... thank goodness!!

I thin kI am starting to actually be comfortable in my own body so I guess thats a good thing:cool1:

HOpe you are all well... BIG hugs

So exciting, you're so close! It will be here before you know it. You really have gotten a lot done, that's awesome, it will leave you "stress-free" as you get closer and you can just enjoy everything.

I found this website for artificial flowers, they actually use "real-touch" flowers. I have not use the company, but the prices don't look too bad and real touch flowers are awesome, I just bought one off ebay for my hair. I may actually consider it for my bouquet.

aww yay!
I am glad, some have been coming back to me :(

Jenny does have the prettiest handwriting doesnt she!?

So for bruises, in the UK we have a cream called Arnicare which helps heal the bruises / makes them dissapear faster- if it comes around to the wedding and you still have them on your legs a few days before, i'd see if you can get some and it will help disguise them.

So, youve basically done everything now havent you? Or is there anything left to do? At least you got the corsages / silk flowers now eh!?

I cant wait to see the before and after pics of the house - Vin sounds too good to be true! tehehe!
