Wedding theme?

For those of you who have a theme to your wedding.... How did you choose? I cannot decide upon a theme for our VR. I love EVERYTHING Disney so it's a tough decision. Cinderella has always been a favorite of mine and I love the cinderella wedding stuff . We are both mickey crazy (our whole home decor); so of course we love the mickey& minnie wedding stuff as well. I seen a beautiful yellow gown online that looks so much like Belle's gown. The first movie dh and I ever went to was to take my niece to see Beauty and the Beast so that is another special theme to consider.
How did you come to a decision?
Anyone got an idea on how to maybe combine everything without it being tacky?

I am having the same problem, i am getting married in December so i wasnt sure if i wanted a christmas theme or a cinderella theme

That's a tough one as well. It wouldn't be so hard if there wasn't so much fabulous stuff to choose from. LOL

Hmmm, have you picked your color scheme yet? Perhaps that would help. If you want to use blue or purple, a Cinderella theme would probably work best with that. If you prefer to use red or gold, a Beauty & the Beast theme would do well. Mickey and Minnie themed things can really go with any color scheme.

the location & our favorite colors decided our theme. our ceremony is at the yacht club wedding gazebo with a rose garden so the theme is roses, red & gold. our reception is at ariels so we are using a seaside theme with shells, blue & silver.

since you like different disney couples maybe do a disney couple theme, one table cinderella with blue & silver, one table mickey&minnie with black & white, one beauty & the beast with red & gold, etc. for the reception & then use your favorite colors & a multi couple theme at the ceremony cinderella & blue on the programs, belle red & gold for the flowers, mickey black & white invitations, etc.

That's a great idea!

We're only having an intimate so there are no invitations. For our friends @home reception our invitations just have the castle on them - and our family @home reception has mickey and minnie on.

i haven't quite decided on the theme for the receptions yet though - placecards etc - princesses seems to fit but I've never been a big fan apart from beauty and the beast - so i may go for Mickey and Minnie...

There are so many to choose from it makes it tough

I love this idea. We are thinking of an intimate so a theme doesn't play into the ceremony, but we would like to have some sort of catered dinner/reception (maybe through epcot) . Now that might make us go custom, but what ever we decide I think I'll use your idea for the table decor. Thanks.
