Has anyone bought wedding related stuffs from orientaltrading ? just browsing around there and found a lot of neat little stuffs and fairly cheap in price. Does anyone know the quality though? I"m not expecting anything glamourous but don't want it to break way too easily either.

The only thing I got (and we didn't end up using them for the wedding) were these cute white "trunks" that were on the wedding section of the Oriental Trading website. They were easy to assemble and pretty sturdy. They would hold candies or even cookies or something like that.

My MIL is a teacher and she gets Oriental Trading stuff all the time and says it's good stuff for her classroom. If it can withstand 3rd graders it should be o.k. for a wedding.

The only thing wedding related i purchased were white gift bags for our welcome bags. I have to say I was happily surprised that they are sturdy and perfect for the bags...plus inexpensive for something that will be thrown away.

Were they just regular gift bags? Did you personalize them in any way? I'm having a hard time deciding on what to use for our welcome bags. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

I got most of our gift bag stuff from oriental. I was very happy with it. A few things were on the cheaper side but everyone was very happy with everything I got from them. The bags I used were the small multi-colored ones with tropical flowers sewn on them. I wasn't sure about the quality given the price, but was very happy with it when they arrived, and managed to fit a ton of stuff in them. I also go the bride and groom hats from them (then I sewed mickey ears on, to make my own), they weren't high quality but they were very good for their purpose. The only problem was that they weren't super large so my hubby had a bit of trouble with the size, but he would have with disney's too.

i bought parasols & some valentine related items for my shower from the oriental trading site for our wedding. i was happy with my order.

I'm a teacher that love OT, too. Their stuff is usually pretty good quality for the price. I've bought classroom stuff as well as some Hawaiian Luau merchandise for a birthday party I threw myself a few years back. I still use the cups from the Luau, so quality's good. I wouldn't hesitate about ordering bags and stuff like that from them. :lovestruc
