super happy for my sister, who just got engaged on New years, but she just told me that she plans on getting married this upcoming summer. Add that to the 6 weddings i already have from may-sept (i'm in one, my boyfriend is in 4) and add that to my cousin just asking me to be in hers, slated for jan 2011, I'm over it. ;)

When its my turn, i'm eloping!

FWIT-these times fly by and then you'll have many years without any. I guess I'm just saying try to enjoy it. I know it'll be expensive, but there will be a lot of awesome memories this year!!:goodvibes

I remember well how many weddings we had and how much it killed financially for a while there, but now that it has been a decade since that time I miss them.

I have two to attend this year. One in April for my cousin and then my sister in June. Luckily, I am in neither wedding so no crazy bridesmaid dresses or duties. Plus I live out of state and don't have to/cannot attend the bachelorette party or showers!

The year we got married we had a wedding every single weekend from the middle of March through the end of October. We had 2 weekends that summer where we had 4 weddings to attend. That was an EXPENSIVE year. Then, a couple years later, everyone started having kids--now we all have graduation parties to plan :lmao:.

Very true. Wish someone had said that to me when all my friends were getting married! The friends who have divorced have NO interest in marrying again (or in having a wedding party...most of them married young enough that parents were the ones creating their weddings, and they are DONE with it), and my group of friends isn't interested in renewals (except for me and DH), so it's been ages since we went to a wedding.

Ive got two. Which means I have to particapate in my two least favorite sports, being nice and buying a dress. My best freind invited me to her wedding and invited a ton of people I dont know and then my cousin invited me to her wedding (I havent seen her in 10+ years).
