To resize my ring to fit me would virtual be the same as buying a new one but at the same time I feel like it states I am single with out it buy my analogy I mean cost

Not quite sure what you’re saying here, Tink, so I’ll just take an educated guess.

It sounds like your ring is too big and now you are wondering if you should get it resized or just buy a new one.

I don’t wear a ring and either does my husband. When we got married, we did exchange rings. With my ms, my hands are sensitive so it became uncomfortable to wear it. My husband had to take his off when he went into the hospital last November. I put it on my necklace for safekeeping at the time and now I don’t want to give it back LOL
It’s a security thing for me because I have a pendant on my necklace that is a Chinese symbol for my daughters name and now I have his ring so it’s like they’re both with me at all times. All together now, awwww

A ring doesn’t make you married. If you don’t want to wear it, and you’re scared of losing it, don’t wear it. Also, don’t let other people guilt you into wearing it.

Thank you just feeling paranoid for no good reason to put it simply

When I was pregnant with me 2nd, my hands swelled horribly, to the point I couldn't wear my rings or watch. I ended up buying a piece of costume jewelry that was a gold band with diamonds (think anniversary band) and wore it instead. Maybe that would fit both your need to wear a wedding band look alike and your pocket book.

My rings are a good size, size and a half too big. My band would have to be completely rebuilt costing more than it did originally. Add in the others and you’re talking $$$$. Honestly, I don’t wear them enough to invest that much. What I did was buy a silicone band in the right size to wear in front of them when I do wear them. Keeps them secure and is inexpensive.
https://ensorings.com/As kimblebee said, rings don’t make you married. You know what’s in your heart. You do you. I’ve been married 27 years and have worn my rings maybe half that time. I know I’m married and that’s all that matters.

You could always get a rubber band and twist it around the ring to size it like the girls use to do with their boyfriends class rings in high school.
😉

I have my wedding ring & engagement ring together and I wear them most days but it depends on what I'm doing. My hands swell in the heat so a I have a white gold band with two little diamonds that I wear when it super hot or when I go to Disney. If I'm working in the yard or playing golf I don't wear the wedding ring just the band. If I need to go out after work and will need to walk to/from the place I don't wear my wedding rings, work in Baltimore and it just isn't the safest place. The past 4 months I've been doing weight watchers and I told my husband when I get to my goal weight I'm getting one of the rings from the Disney Enchanted Collection.

I've had rings resized recently, depending on the metal it costs $25- $45. If there are stones that wrap around the ring it will be a different process and cost more. For a ring like that I would get the ring guards like the PPs mentioned. I've got one ring that has stones that wrap about 1/2 around. I had it resized and was told if I needed it smaller they would have to rework the ring.

I feel "naked" without my wedding ring on. When I had to have mine repaired a few years ago, I bought a ring at Kohls that looks like a wedding ring for about $10 to wear while it was being repaired. I also usually wear that "fake" wedding ring at the beach so I don't risk losing my real one in the sand/ocean.

Tell me more about the Disney collection that is a great idea might be out of my price range but fun to look at

No the ring doesn't make you married but it is an outward sign/symbol of being married/committed.

Don't worry about that. As others have said many married women & men alike don't wear rings for a variety of reasons. If you want to wear your ring but need to get it sized then do it. I have never been married and don't foresee ever being married, so take this with a grain of salt but if I was married I would want to wear my ring for ME, not for whatever strangers (or friend/family) might think.

Do people actually even notice if others are wearing rings? My DH had stopped wearing his for at least a year before I ever even noticed. I haven't worn mine in years either since the band and wedding ring are two different sizes so it feels weird wearing them and the diamond always seemed to get caught on crap. We know we are committed to each other. Lots of couples don't wear rings and I don't think that means you suddenly have a sign on your forehead saying you're available. Likewise, lots of women especially wear a ring on the left ring finger even when they aren't married. If a guy were to notice you weren't wearing a ring and try to flirt, let him know you're married and not interested.

If you want to wear a ring, shop around at other places that will resize it or find a cheaper ring to wear... But don't feel like you would be sending the wrong signal to people just by not wearing a ring.

I wear a fakie at the beach too or when traveling to somewhere questionable. My ring is insured, but that’s not a claim I’d like to make.
