Can someone explain to me how it works with booking your wedding rehearsal. My planner kind of quickly went through it, but it didn't make sense. I know she said that if the WP isn't available, then you have to do it in a GF Ballroom and you can't book it until 30 days out. I'm confused, though, because when I was up there last Friday, there was one rehearsal on the schedule for 7:30 pm at the WP. However, when we were over at the GF Convention Center for our food tasting around 3 pm, there was a group getting ready to have their rehearsal in one of the ballrooms. Why would they be over there if nobody was using the WP at that time?

:confused3

Could their ceremony be in a location other than the WP? If they were all staying at the GF but doing a Epcot ceremony maybe they would just hold it in a ballroom for convenience?

Good question. I have found that lots of disney brides can seem crazy because of a bunch of unknown circumstances. Disney also seems to have millions of random rules. So who knows.

even if noone is in the wp it could be getting setup for a wedding.

really the rehersal wasnt much of a todo.. least for mine anyhow.

I belive the only diffrence between the wp and a ballroom would be the step near the alter.

BTW a quick word of advice. When the bride enters their is usally a bell toll.. this was loud enough to scare my wife.

We had our wedding at the WP, but our rehearsal was at the GF Convention center. The day of our rehearsal, the only WP time slot available was 10:00am and we didn't want to do it that early.

They only book it 30 days out because obviously other weddings or even convention events have priority over a rehearsal. But they will find a location to have it.

As far as why the rehearsal was in the GF when the WP was free. Who knows...like Cassie said, maybe the wedding is really somewhere else. Or maybe they didn't want to be in the WP till the big day.

You know, I didn't even think about that! Maybe they were going to be having it somewhere else. It seemed weird b/c the only thing on the schedule was the 7:30 rehearsal, no other weddings. We had actually been in there looking around and taking pictures that morning around 11. Thanks girls! I feel a little bit better now, I'm just really hoping for the rehearsal to be in the WP b/c my ring bearer will be 3 and my flower girl will be 22 months, so it would be good to show them exactly where they will be walking...then again I could always just bring them in there real quick to show them. Anyway, thanks!!:goodvibes
