The planning kit asks me to list a preferred date, time, and location. Obviously, the rehearsal is the day before the wedding.. but I didn't know that picking the location was an option :upsidedow

Does anyone happen to know the options? Or if there are any "fun" advice in regards to picking a rehearsal location (i.e. "pick this location because it's a fun photo opportunity" or "pick this location because it's an exclusive location, so it's a once in a lifetime experience"). My apologies in advance if I'm overthinking this :headache:

I don't know where you are being married but my daughter had her rehearsal at the WP the night before about an hour or so before the rehearsal dinner at the GF marina. I would think that it would be at your ceremony location, I could be wrong.

PS I just read your planning journal and want to say good luck and have fun with everything. My Daughter was married 3 yrs ago this past Sunday, it was an amazing experience for all of us. I think you picked an beautiful location.

I would pick your wedding location. You want to make sure you and your group know exactly where you need to stand, walk etc. I wouldn't have it any place else because variables would be different. I am surprised that they would have you chose a different location. My only guess would be in the event of a wedding being during your preferred time or something.

You can either choose your location or a ballroom in one of the resorts. I think it is personal preference on what you decide to do. I like the idea of using the actual place where you are getting married as this will be more obvious for those with a role. However we decided to go with a ballroom as we wanted our guests to only see the wedding pavilion when we were getting married there and we have reservations at 'Ohanas at 5 so didn't have much flexibility with dates and times and if you use a ballroom you have more choice with days and times as you don't have to work around brides.

We just had our rehearsal at the Wedding Pavilion and then had our rehearsal dinner at the Hoop De Doo Review. We all had a lot of fun but we weren't aware of the traveling to the Fort Wilderness Lodge to the restaurant. I'd advise to pick something that's easy to get to for your rehearsal and dinner.

Thank you for reading my planning journal! I'm really excited about planning and having this wedding :)

It would've been smart to include my ceremony location in the first place ::yes:: which is the Italy Plaza in Epcot. I'm pretty sure I can't hold my rehearsal there. I'll most likely ask for a place at the BoardWalk since that's where the reception is being held and it kind of gives my wedding party a sneak peak ;)

Thank you everyone for your help!! :thanks:

I'm Italy too! You can actually have your rehearsal in Epcot, you would just have to a) be up early and have it before opening, b) pay a guide fee (I believe $90), and of course this would only be possible if there isn't another wedding or even booked there at the time. We're having ours at a ballroom at the Beach Club.
