My wife was watching the shows on TV regarding the weddings at Disney. The Grand Floridian has a wedding planning facility, I think it was called Franks? Any how, is the general public like my wife and I when we travel down every February allowed to go to this facility and make a purchase. My wife fell in love with a cake topper that resembled the castle and seeing it is our 45th wedding anniversary trip, I wanted to surprise her with a visit to this place and buy her the cake topper. Anyone know anything regarding this place or access to it?

I would call ahead and check. We were able to duck in for ten seconds on our last trip but they were meeting with a couple and the other planner on duty was with a wedding in progress so there wasn't anyone there to really help us with anything if we had needed assistance. They are also not always open if they do not have appointments, and we were only invited to duck in to say a quick "hello" to a CM we know. The driveway in front of Franck's is where car service arrives for weddings taking place and many CM's were there to shoo us off and out of the way (as no one exiting a limo on her wedding day is likely to want random tourists in the photos).

I'm also not sure that they stock merchandise so if you wanted to buy something you'd need to call ahead and make sure they have it available. What you see online or in a show, they may have to obtain in order to have on hand to sell to you. I will say that I think it's possible IF you call ahead and set this up with them. That way, you're being respectful of their time and any clients they may be meeting with, and they can also have a cake topper for you to surprise your wife.

When we were planning our wedding in 2012, Franck’s (As in the wedding planner from Father of the Bride) was only open when there were appointments going on. Others could walk in and look at the displays and there was someone manning a desk but I don’t think they have the capability to sell you anything directly from that location. The planners and other DFTW staff are actually in an office in Celebration. They don’t work out of Francks.

What you could do is contact Disney Fairytale Weddings and speak to someone who can coordinate the purchase for you and coordinate a time for you to “happen over there while it’s open”. If you’re talking about the white Castle topper, when we got married that was made by a 3rd party vendor and was actually made from white chocolate. That definitely could have changed over the years but just sharing what info I have. If it’s not that one, feel free to disregard all of that info. But I’d still call them directly to get help with this. The phone number is 321-939-4610.
