Hello Fellow Disney Geeks allow me to introduce myself, I have been to DLR many, many times from 2 years old to now. I have a vast knowledge of DLR history, trivia, "secrets" and visiting tips&tricks. This will be my first year with my PAP!!:wizard:

My travel partner is my amazing boyfriend Larry :lovestruc. He is 32 and just recently found out about Disney, his first trip was with his DSIL and DN at 31, his second time was 3 days with me in May (our first together) and this will be his 3rd. He lets me run the show and enjoys going and doing as long as im smiling. Bless him for his ability to put up with my OCD and disney mania!

Well folks thats the first stretch, we leave for DLR on Sunday 2-19-12. Look for my next post to take a look at our budget planning, reservations, itinerary in the parks and for my excitement to boil over just 2 days before we leave !!!

I left off with some of the planning wrapped up. Here are a few other tid bits to know about us and our trip to appreciate my psychotic and obsessive planning :upsidedow

We will also be traveling with Larry's best , friend Josh, his wife Crickett, their son Jeremy(16) his GF(16) Nora, their other son Jacob(11) and Josh's sister Nicole. They are staying in a different hotel, driving separately, and only in the parks Mon-Thurs. But Josh is also a sufferer of DDD and will be riding an ECV. He has ridden many times before but this will be my first time. I have been reading as much as I can on these ECVs and hope I do not crash and burn. :rotfl: I also have planned to use our APs for as many discounts as possible, merch., food and parking.

Yes, I have planned every min. of every day of this entire trip. Most people think that isn't fun, that it is completely unnecessary, and ruins everything. For me I cannot travel any other way. With extremely high anxiety and fear of being late, lost, or missing out this is the only way I avoid meltdowns of epic proportions and panic attacks. I also live everyday of my life with lists, schedules and planning everything to the nines. Larry complains while I am in the planning stage but once we are there he hardly notices I am directing him around all day!:rotfl2: In the end he loves it when we get to see and do everything, and most things twice!!

For the past 6 months I have slowly become a pin-aholic.
It started when I quit my job and ended up bed/couch ridden due to a really bad nerve flare up. After planning the trip I turned to message boards and blogs, but that wasn't enough to tide me over until we were at the resort again. So slowly I read more and more about this pin trading. Buying, trading, selling, scrappers, pin pics, meet ups etc.

Started with buying some lanyards on e bay. Then pins online as well but from fellow traders on different sites and from Disney always being weary of scrappers. And before I knew it I was 200+ pins deep

and spending a serious amount of my day finding my next pin.:surfweb: I had to slow down. :headache:

I started reading and researching more for the more desirable pins and focusing on some LEs and releases from some of the other parks. I focus on Maleficent and Larry has taken a liking to Star Wars and Nightmare Before Christmas. He will point on the computer screen what he wants and I'll take care of getting them for him. He is interested more in obtaining and keeping than trading as of now but I have a feeling he will get the fever as soon as we are in the parks. ;)

Here are a few of our favorites :cool1:
