wedding party at BOMA

I am booking our wedding dinner at the boma resturant. They told me it would be at 3 tables. For those of you who have been there what does that mean. How far apart are we going to be and is there anyway i can get us all together?? there is only 9

No direct experience with this sort of thing, but I can't imagine they would have a wedding party of 9 sitting at 3 seperate tables.

The tables would probably be very close to each other just not pushed together. The times we have been, we could have easily held conversations with the tables next to us and heard alot of what they were talking about.

We had an anniversary party at LeCellier for 12 people and were told it was for three tables. When we got there, we were asked if we wanted the tables pushed together. Otherwise, the three were right next to each other. Another time, for a birthday dinner at Cape May for 10, our tables were next together with a long bench in common. Helped with getting out for the buffet. And I've eaten at Boma with nine people and we were all seated at one long table. I wouldn't worry about it.

You will most likely get one of the long tables in the middle of the restaurant. Congratulations!!!

We always see large parties of well more than 9 at Boma. There are several large long tables in the center. I cannot see why they told you that. I wouldn't worry, though. I am sure they can accomodate you at the time you arrive. Anyway, congrats on your wedding!!! Have some Zebra Domes for me, okay? Best of luck to you both, Jane

We saw a birthday party at Boma (maybe 12 people?) & they were all sitting at a long table in the middle of the restaurant.

You should be fine. When you make your ADR, be sure to let them know it will be for a wedding celebration.

I'm pretty sure they have to tell you that because:

1) That's how many tables you have reserved in the computer

2) There's a definite chance that there might be more of a wait to get the tables together

and

3) Not to get guests hopes up by promising anything that might not happen

but never fear, they will do all that they can do for you, but they are trying to hedge the crazy people that yell at them for not having their table ready for them as soon as they walk in.....

Since Boma is a buffet, you'll all be up and down at different times. I've been to Boma in a group of about 10, and we were fit at a long table of smaller tables pushed together. Another time it was tables with booth seating near each other.

Are you sure you want a wedding meal at a buffet? I am picturing people spilling soup on your dress.
