My DD is getting married next summer and I want to get her a wedding organizer/planner book. :goodvibes A few I was looking at on Amazon were:

Tying the Knot: The Complete Wedding Organizer - Sara Miller

The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner - Carley Roney

The Complete Wedding Planner & Organizer - Elizabeth Lluch

Your Stress-Free Wedding Planner - Judy Allen

I would appreciate opinions on these or other wedding planner books.

Thanks for your help! :)

I've used the "Easy Wedding Planner:Organizer & Keepsake"

Its a big pink book with lots of pockets for everything i need. It has TONS of info in it plus a LOT of room for my own notes/memories/ideas. It holds everything I have related to the wedding. Its awesome..I keep it by me at all times and I'm always writing in it/using it.

Here's a pic of it in my Bride-To-Be bag all stuffed with stuff. The book is even MORE stuffed now lol..but it holds it all!

Thank you, OceanGdss! Your planner looks great! I appreciate the helpful information and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :)

No prob :) I was actually gifted 3 different planners (Emily Post, and one by the Knot) and while they were both awesome, I found they lacked a lot of the info/space that this one did. But its all up to personal preference :thumbsup2

I started with 2 different planners and ditched them both! I ended up buying a regular 3 ring binder, some tab separators and went to town. I just found it easier to do myself than to go through someone else's guidelines. Mostly with a disney wedding, depending on how many outside vendors you're using, you wont need all the stuff a regular planner has since you wont have that many vendors. that's just me though. :)

I got the Bridal bargains wedding planner! I can't say enough things about this book. It's not so much about bargains as it is not getting scammed! I love it... I think it's one of the best organized and has tons of tips an dplaces to write

Keep in mind I also have a 3 ring binder for pics...

So, if your DD doesn't mind having two books than you might want to look into it. Plus, it's only 14.95, brand new!

HTH! And Congrats on DD getting married! :goodvibes

omg you guys.. i must live under a rock... what are these books for?? why would you need them?? how do you use them?? i'm totally freaking out about having to talk to my wp!! i dont even know what toi say other then i like the color black.. ai ai ai:confused:

too funny inked!! :lmao:

I bought "The Anti-Bride Planner" from barnes and noble and I really liked it at first -- it has a lot of really good non-conformist ideas and in fact is where I got the idea to have a photo-booth at our at home reception. I love unique stuff like that and it was perfect for that. Unfortunately, it's smaller than a standard 8x11.5 size paper, which was great at first because I could throw it in my purse and be off, but after I started collecting important papers (contracts, etc) I had to start a binder... so, I'm not sure you actually need an official planner, as much as a place to put all your crap. :rotfl:

I don't have a binder. Is that bad?????? I have a program on my computer called One Note. I use that and I love it! Since ALL of my researc is done online I just copy and paste. It has tabs that i can use for what ever I want. I think just try out thing until you find something you love.

I started with 3 different ones. Then I torn them apart combined what i needed, bought a 3inch 3 ring binder and dividers and thats what I use now.

Thank you, again, for your ideas and thoughts! DD and I are big organizers and planners, so your help is really appreciated!! :flower:

Amen sister! That's what I did... and I wasted all that money on 2 other planners. Oh well. My $3.99 binder from Target does a lot better :)

I didn't use anything official. I think I bought the Everything book but it wasn't a big help. There isn't anything specific to Disney. Instead I just used a blank journal as an idea book and wrote down ideas and topics to speak to my planner about. That worked really well for me.

Yeah, if I had to do it again, I wouldn't have wasted the money on professional planners and just got a runofthemill 3" binder. :confused3

u know I got a wedding planner from Target..Loved it but as I kept pulling out pics and pics form magazines and putting them in a binder. I had to buy a 3" binder and I decorated it too.. I will post pics when I get home

Good ideas! Thanks! :) DD is starting to collect pictures of ideas and putting them in a 3-ring binder.

I am a "make your own binder" bride also. I looked at alot of the planners and as we are having a Disney Wedding, they just did not seem appropriate. Besides the fact that there is SO much info on these boards. Most of my planning and almost all of the pictures and things I brought to my planning session were just screen prints of things I got off these boards. While sitting with my planner and florist - they kept saying - Oh I had that bride - and I remember that bride, etc. It made it much easier.

The other thing I did was also make individual two pocket folders. On the day we went looking for the tuxes - I just had to pull out my tux folder and not bring the whole binder with me.
